Well, not a good news at all. Indeed exceptionally bad news. Here is the Diplo screen with C3B. What does it tell us? First, they are in Middle Ages. Which means they researched Currency as they were going to or may be Construction and bought either Construction or Currency, respectively, from CDZ. Use of tech calculator then tells us that both Monotheism and Engineering are at 771 beakers and Feudalism did not change in price. We also know that CDZ had Monotheism from previous turns which means that C3B got Engineering as a free new era tech. Hence, situation at present is that CDZ has Mono and C3B has Engineering and they have not traded these techs yet.

Otherwise, on the home front, it is more or less as scheduled. This is the mainland picture.

This is our new budget. Tech slider has been decreased to provide cash for CoG plan.

#$@&*^%@

Yet I find next turn more important: then we know if they have horses or not. If they have, we're in big fffreaking trouble! That would mean we have no advantage over them anymore.

Who is the head of Foreign Affairs? The ambassador of CDZ? We should have had a chat with them conerning C3B...

I think Matrix is CoFA... and Rik is the ambassador.

Why didn't we push harder to get CDZ not to trade with C3B?

Our only hope is that they're now close to bankrupt as they're paying us 18gpt and CDZ propably at leats 20... we can't be sure, though. *sigh*

I don't like CDZ's attitude. I didn't like it from the beginning. But at least they're hopefully as rude in payments towards C3B as us..

And get those C3B boats out of our lands.

CDZ is probably trying to reap the benefits of being the first across the perilous ocean..... Perhaps they have a deal with c3b to get there free tech in exchange for what ever techs they were missing to get out of the ancient age.

I believe that having that galley there is an advantage to us... There are many possible reasons for the galley to be there.
1. They are trying to monitor our fleet movements: this will not work as we can bypass that galley.
2. They are trying to ensure that we do not detect them coming towards iron island with a fleet...this would tip us off to when such an attack will occur.
3. They are posturing...this leaves them with a unit that is doing no good but must be maintained.

I would not be so quick to dismiss the galley. Instead...let us send a galley north and see what may be coming south around turn 125 or so...

Too much faith was placed in CDZ.

Think of the units we could have purchassed with the gold we sent them. But now our force to attack C3B will be even weaker.

According to them, they are not in our lands, so I am not going to push it unless told specificly to annoy the heck out of them. But if they do not, we can go nothing untill we get our military up, then the real fun starts...
