C3C PBEM : "Pitt" - Napoleonic scenario-based PBEM

Hi, this is the thread for the new Napoleonic PBEM !


"Pitt" (aka the "Boy Minister") was a leading influence in England's opposition to Napoleonic hegemony.

It is for Conquests, using the MP version of the Napoleonic scenario and the patch 1.22.
So you need to have both Conquests and the patch 1.22 installed on your computer.

Civs will be attributed randomly (but you can state your preferences).

England and allies (Italy, Portugal and Netherlands)
France and allies (Denmark)
Ottomans
Prussia AI
Russia
Spain AI
Sweden AI


Players : 5 (Sweden, Prussia and Spain are played by AI).

Organization : the game will be called "Pitt" to be recognizable and when you get the game, send a mail to inform the sender you got it.

SPECIAL RULES AND OPTIONS

Razing is not allowed since there are no settlers.

Treachery and change of alliances were common during that period (think of Saxony that turned from ally to opponent to Napoleon within the very battle of Leipzig) so an active diplo and alliance breaking should not be considered evil in this PBEM (as a victim you can still be unhappy and complain though) !

Game started, file sent by me (Russia) to Provolution (France).

The Czar wants to inform all nations that we welcome diplomatic envoys from everyone and we want to turn the painful historical page of opposition with our Muslim southern neighbors.

Hmmkay.. was this set up in a time zone fashion? I didn't see any request for zone listings, so I hope it is.. and I will get into diplomacy as soon as I get my first turn so I can see what the game looks like

It is set up in time zone fashion. Don't know what is happening, maybe something related to a restart because of the no alliance on start -up rule ?

It would be nice if people were more communicative in the relevant threads when a game is stalling.. would solve issues like this a whole lot faster for sure

If this is going to be a really slow game maybe someone else will step in, if nothing else then in my place since I find constantly stalling games uninteresting to play.

I'm still waiting for the restarted turn from Provolution. I've just sent him an email about it.

Maybe something wrong with the email network although the first turn he sent me reached me fine.

Hi all,

I'll be leaving for holidays from Christmas till after New Years (Jan 2nd). I won't have internet access during that time. What are the rest of yours plans? If you are all going to keep playing, I can pass my password to somebody else to play for me during the week I'm away.

Let me know what you all think.

Most games seem to stall during Christmas, don't worry about it.. as long as we can get it up and running properly afterwards
