-Intro-
This is a generic, repetitive 4000 BC NES. That's because I noticed a lack of such NESes and I want to reenter the NES scene so to speak. As a warning; don't ever think you can truely leave the NESing scene. As another warning, i have not mellowed and will happily cause troubles to the best of your well-laid plans, because i'm just that nice of a guy. Of course in all fairness this does not happen all the time, just most of it.
Why the name and number? Mainly because i couldnt think of a better name. Technically the RTOR series ended with Sheep's #11, but i skipped 12 so i could count on lucky number 13.
As one final note; I will update regularly, regardless of who did or didnt send orders in. Updates will be almost every Wednsday, Friday, and Sunday/Monday.
-Rules-
Quite simple actually, in the old style. I noticed that many NESes have these newfangled "numbers" so i will go with the old method.
-Set up-
Name of Nation
Government: (something close to time period if possible)
Age: Stone Age
Economy: Stable
Culture: Nonexistent
Education: Moronic
Army: tiny Stone Age
Navy: NA
Location: state general area here and i do my best to put you in right place.
-Economy-
Economy is of course the backbone of your nation. It can be raised in orders, or by luck. It can also fall trhough bad luck or orders. It costs you one economy level to raise any two other stats. THere is no charge for raising only one stat, but you cannot raise your economy at the same time. In example if your economy is stable you can lower it to recession in order to increase your army and navy sizes by 1 each.
To increase your economy you have to spend a whole turn ordering such. The economy levels are as follows:
Depression-Recession-Stable-Wealthy-Prosperous-Booming
-Army/Navy-
THis is pretty striaghtforward. As mentioned above it costs 1 economy to raise either military 2 levels or to raise each by 1. These are obviously what you attack with. The levels are as follows:
tiny-small-medium-strong-large-huge-imperial
-Education/Culture-
This is similar to armies in navies in cost and it is possible to raise education and army size or navy size and culture with 1 economy. Nations with higher education will be the first to reach a new age, while nations with higher culture will be more resistant if another enemy conquers them and will expand easier. The one difference is that education will decrease by 1 upon entering a new age, to reflect the wealth of new ideas. Levels are as follows:
Education: moronic-ignorant-mediocore-intelligent-brilliant
Culture: Nonexistent-barbaric-yokel-unrefined-civilized-refined-sophisticated-magnificent-wondrous
-War-
War is quite simple compared to NESes with different type of troops and such. Your armies consist of anything you can think of within reason of the time period and you can create tactics and such accordingly. I will say one thing though, i look kindly on detailed tactics and maps with arrows.
-Stories-
Stories are optional though i do like a good yarn to read instead of just boring ole orders. I will not confess if they'll do anything to help you, though they might.
-Wonders: Requires Bronze Age- NEW
Wonders can be of any type and can cause any effect within reason (nothing over a +3 total stat increase). There are two ways to build wonders:
1. In one turn, costing 2 economy levels
2. over a period of 3 turns, costing no economy and allowing you to improve other stats over the same amount of time.
As a warning please order to "continue the wonder" every turn you are building it, otherwise it will not be completed on time. In addition only 3 wonders can be build per Age. A minor note: mention the city it is built in and the city will be added to the map.
-Army Diversification: Requires Bronze Age- NEW
Once you reach the Bronze Age and for every age after you can specify the makeup of your army and any weapons it might have that differ from the generic army of the time. Do not feel ashamed to copy someone else however. This reflects how RL nations mimic the military of other nations.
