USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. Messing with the registry CAN DAMAGE YOUR COMPUTER. BE VERY SURE OF WHAT YOU'RE DOING.

And, of course, make a backup of the registry before doing anything.

How to: Uninstalling the program (manually)

Warning: Advanced Users Only : Use at your own risk!
Editing your registry improperly could corrupt Windows! This could mean re-installing Windows and possibly losing all information on your computer!
Before starting, read the instructions below completely and make sure you understand them.
If you are unsure of any step here, click the No next to "Did this information help you?" below. (found at the Atari website, not provided by CFC)
If you are unable to uninstall the game through the Add/Remove Programs menu you can do it manually.
  1. Removing the folder for the game
    1. Click Start
    2. Click Run
    3. Type C:\Program Files\Infogrames Interactive
    4. Right-click on the Civilization 3 folder
    5. Choose Delete
  2. Removing the registry keys
    1. Click on Start
    2. Click on Run
    3. Type REGEDIT
    4. Press OK
    5. Click on the plus next to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
    6. Click on the plus next to Software
    7. Click on the plus next to Microsoft
    8. Click on the plus next to Windows
    9. Click on the plus next to CurrentVersion
    10. Click on the plus next to Uninstall
    11. Right-click on {0AD84416-63A4-4CF3-BDDF-8FA866711FB0}
    12. Select Delete
    13. Click on the File menu
    14. Click on Exit
