City Remains Unprotected...

Here's something that I dont get. I have a conquered city that has military units in it with a courthouse and a cathedral. It still gets listed as undefended and if I fortify my troops I loose the control of the city. When I move other troops to that city it shows up as me taking it over again.

Am I missing something or is it a bug?

So the city is under your control?

BUG!

If I remember correctly the game won't allow you to click on the city either. The only thing that you can do is re-take the city.

Funny, but the next game I played this bug comes up.

Look at the city of Bokhare. It appears empty clicking on it does nothing. There is a Phalanx being created this move. When it's turn come if you fortify it will stay in the city and you will have no access to it.
