New unit: Wood-elf Dryad (mar 24th, 2005)

Hi!
Here is another woodlike wood-elf unit: a dryad (tree spirit). This unit is not based on the greek mythology and the wood nymphs (which were also called dryads)

Here's some civilopedia info from the games workshop website:
Dryads are tree spirits - magical beings who dwell in trees and are capable of assuming the aspects of a particular tree or even shape-shifting into the form of a tree as well. The forest of Loran is one of the last refues of these strange beings. Dryads trust and favor Wood Elves and will help them in many ways, even by assuming awesome and savage aspects to fight alongside the Elves in battle.

Aaglo,
Could we maybe see more of an Elfin-tree-maiden type dryad. sort of a hybrid elf and tree with tree branches for hands and with an immpossibly long leafy head of hair

Amazing animations. I really like this unit and I'm very tempted to add it to MoM. I'm not sure how though, I may have to sit down and think about the nature mage unit lines a bit.

That's a great treant/ent/treeman unit. But I almost imagined dryads as being somewhat feminine and sexy (for those who like their women leaf-green that is).
