New Unit: Lodya

Another week, another boat from the new shipwright!

This being my first oar-powered AND arrow weilding ship meant I had to make some new standards and stuff, otherwise this could have been done earlier but meh.

This unit was requested by R8XFT, so you can thank him for the idea. I hope you like how this turned out, I tried to stick to the picture you gave me with the request.

One Tiny noticus- Don't post previews in BMP format- JPG works just as well and are much smaller.

Really great stuff. It's a shame Civ3 doesn't have river navigation of any kind, since that's how these were actually used, but it's a very nice-looking unit nevertheless.

About the name lodya: is it russian for "boat"? Since in finnish "Lotja" (which is pronounced a bit like the word lodya) is a slang word for boat....

Funny, I'm the creator of this thing and I don't know. By the sounds of it your guess is probably right aaglo, but I honestly don't kow what Lodya actually means. This was requested by R8XFT, he gave me the name, pics and info (which was all perfect for use I might add), before his request I had no idea this thing existed. Meh, learn something new everyday I guess.

For those wondering how to use this, just look at the civilopedia entry included in the readme file to get ideas.

BTW, thanks for the positive feedback everyone.
