First turn underway. Rome is large, widespread... and horribly undefended. Must build more units!!!

I hope I can get my legions up before you get your attackers ready!

A Sass. horseman made a quick strike for one of my cities... and paid the price. Vengeance will be mine!!!

Gnarfflinger the Butcher has made his initial survey of his lands and has givent eh orders to seek to harrass the Romans at all opportunities.

If the Barbarian Hordes are to survive, we must strike quickly and decicively against these Roman's before they can bring their legendary Legions to bear against us...

Turn to be sent momentarily.

The Barbarians continue to consolidate their territory.

Sounds like they're trying to consolidate our territory too. Stymied a barb incursion by forcing a horseman to retreat. I'll force him into a grave next turn! GPS.

more of the same. Persian Heavy Cavalry Lost in attack on Eastern Roman City. Also killed one Legion I think...

I think you killed a legion too, dammit! One horseman defeated near Caesarea and Arbella has been taken. On we go!

One Frank raider killed.

Two Goth raiders killed, city destroyed.

The glory of Rome will live again!

I'll let you dream--but only because Yahoo was giving me trouble earlier tonight. Attempting to download again...

Latest results:

French city razed, two raiders killed.
Goth city razed, one raider killed.
Sass immortal killed by legionary in city, I can't see the name.
Legionary lost to immortal.

And on we go...

At least I've got the techs flowing along the lines...

Flowing techs... I don't like the sound of that.

Celt curragh killed.
Hun horseman killed.
Goth city destroyed, raider killed.

Nor should you. The Sassanids start with a boat load of them, and I'm shipping them along to the other barbarian civs. That may be an exploit though. Maybe we need Hawklord to rule on this one and maybe trade the Sassanids for another faction (ostrogoths maybe?)

I was curious after I did that...

I'll be finishing soone enough. Hopefully before the Persians get wiped out...

I think it all hinges on the Barbarians getting Iron and developing the techs for the high end units.
