Since this thread is now stickied I think I should say this:
This thread was made in order to create a guide that should help newbies understand the concept of NESing. At the moment it is far from finished. Feel free to brouse through the thread, I think you can find something usefull here. Untill the guide is finished please read the NESing Guide to Newbies. Thank you and have fun on this board

Original Message: said:Let face it. We won't be here forever. In a couple of years or maybe dacades we will move on with our lives. We will have new jobs, get married, maybe move countires. In any case we ill stop NESing. Even if we don't we will still change our style of play and the games of today will be forgotten.
Let us stay in the minds of "new generations". A lot of gamers of all sorts write guides, walkthroughs and tutorials to their favourite games. THey grow up, have kids, earn money and completely forget about past games. But thier works live engraved on the minds of the yet new generations of gamers who praise their "mentors" even though they "died" for the gaming world.
I propose we write a complete guide to NESing so that the "new generations" know what NESing is about and can start games on their own forums.
I know this is a lot of work, but in my view its worth it. If we make one complete "guide to NESing" there's a greater possibility that someone will take it, read it and maybe decides to open up a new NESing section on his forum. We all want for this idea to live and spraed. Why not take concrete steps? I've been looking for something like this place for 3 years! we cannot ignore others who might be struggling in the dark looking for us at this very moment! Let us answer the call and spread the idea for generations to come.
