Welcome to the Office of the Chancellor of the Exchequer - the place for all you cash requests.

Now that we are a Republic we have improved our working practices and Health and Safety and all our rush jobs must be paid for. We also need to balance our upgrade, trade, foreign affairs costs and slider settings against our overall budget.

Ministers, please use this thread to post all your gold requirements.
Citizens, please initially make your request in the thread of the minister concerned.
 
We have 2091 gold and are running at 100% science to research Invention in 5 turns.

We are running at -50gpt.

It is intended to pay for the cost of the deficit research by sale of the resulting technology.

There is a long outstanding 1000 gold warchest for upgrades, however this will be insufficient to upgrade all our Horses to Knights

Military has requested the sum of 2500 gold pieces, sufficient to cover the upgrade of 20 Horses to Knights (120 each). There is only likely to be one major military upgrade after this - that of Knights to Cavalry, cost and timing to be determined.

The impending upgrades leave little spare gold. After the upgrades are complete it is intended to allocate some gold to each province to allow the Governors to prioritise their spending rather than having to request every item individually.
 
Requests from the CoAF:
2 * 30 = 60 gold for 2 sword upgrades in the next TC (may 22).
4 * 120 = 480 gold for 4 horse upgrades in the next TC or later.
 
As of 590 AD we have 1008 gold and are making 42gpt

We are researching Metallurgy at 100% due in 4. Also in 4 our 56gpt deal with Persia expires, so we are likely to have to cut research back a bit or run at a deficit. We are racing to get Military Tradition which if we could maintain our research rate we could complete in 6 turns. We may be able to make other deals to cover the deficit or just accept it for the 6 turns needed. After that we will need to reduce our research spending to make money for cultural rushes.

I would like to request funds for at least 1 and possibly up to 3 horseman -> knight upgrades for the next TC. Total cost: 120 to 360 gold. (This replaces my previous request 2 posts up).

EDIT: additional request. In 10 turns or so we'll discover MilTrad. I would like funds to upgrade all knights to cavalry. Cost: 30 gold per unit, I estimate around 15 units, so that would make 450 gold.
 
As mayor of Spichester, I request that the marketplace and/or aquaduct be rushed so that it doesn't delay being at size 6.
