These cities are based on Varwnos' Full era Byzantine cities, and all I pretty much did was add some trees cleverly converted from AoE II, my Med Mage tower, and some buildings from one of Arbitrary Guy's RoN conversions to the modern age to make it a bit different from the industrial era. I'm using these cities for the Final Fantasy IX and Tactics civs as well as the Grand Duchy of Jueno (all of which have a heavy mediterranean feel to them).

Remember to thank Varwnos, since these cities were already so close to what I had in mind, I didn't have to do half the work that I did for my other FF series of cities, and most of the work is his. Now all I have to do is come up with rASIAN graphics to finish out the cities of this mod.

Errrrmmm... Sorry about that, Varwnos. I have ADD, with mild dyslexia, and sometimes transpose letters in words. Other than that, how do you like the cities? :D

Thanks to all those who like the cities, btw

Hm well i dont really like my own part in them nowdays, so i dont know if my view matters much. As for the phantasy tower i wouldnt know how much it looks like the one it was to look like. The trees are fine :)

Try dark green and avoid palm if possible. That's my view anyway.
The mage tower needs to be more luminous(or lighter shade of blue).
I think England has basically blue-grey stone/paint in their works.
We use grey, yellow, red, white such colors.

When I made the Mediterranean Mage tower in Bryce, I directly "borrowed the stucco texture for the walls from the texture pack for the CS_Italy (one of the standard maps for HL Counter-Strike), which, IIRC was made from a photo of an actual Itallian wall somewhere, so what you say about Greek stuff may be true, but this was to add a bit of Itallian flavor to it.

As for the trees, I have yet to find any pictures of Italy or southern Spain without Palm trees :p (not to mention that Palms are one of my favorite trees and if scientists were to discover any kind of palm that could survive the winters where I live, I'd give my left arm to get a hold on one).

Well, I'm referring mostly to middle ages. Nowadays you'll find palm trees in Greece even as decoration fashion requires often.
But you might be true. There are skeletons of animals in Greece that shouldn't be here remnants of a tropical climate era, so palms might have been around even during the middle ages.

I just can't picture Greece like that. Of course this is fantasy Medit., which is more than Greece anyway. Btw, I have a pic called Montag(probably nothing to do with German monday) or something that displays some Italy place I think, this has some blue castle inside yellow walls. I'll post if I'll remember to see if that was your inspiration.

Thanks to Varwnos' new fantasy cities, I've finally got this set the way I want it, and I'm posting a fully updated version here:

Varwnos's cities with trees is a really nice combination. Will this be used for the Ivalice civs? The first thing that came to mind in seeing the new graphics was "FF Tactics". :)

DING DING DING! We have a winner!! Yes, Ivalice, Ordalia (Ivalice's rival during the 59 Years war), The Grand Duchy of Jueno (from Final Fantasy XI), Alexandria and Lindblum (both from FF IX) will be using these city graphics.
