And did those feet in ancient time
Walk upon England's mountains green?
And was the holy Lamb of God
On England's pleasant pastures seen?

And did the Countenance Divine
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here
Among these dark Satanic mills?

Bring me my bow of burning gold!
Bring me my arrows of desire!
Bring me my spear! O clouds unfold!
Bring me my chariot of fire!

I will not cease from mental fight,
Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand
Till we have built Jerusalem
In England's green and pleasant land.

That is the next challenge, to build a 20K city "Jerusalem" as England.

Parameters:

Continents,
70% water, climate TBD
barbarians roaming
Monarch/Emperor, depending on players.

7 opponents are from England's history: France, Spain, Germany, America, Zulus, Arabs, India

I will give precedence to those who were already in DBear01.

I'd be up for this myself. I've never done a 20k, so it would be a nice challenge.

Generally I play on emperor games for my combat games.

I never won 20K on monarch/emperor. I'd like to sign up.
I play on Emperor level.

Nice one, William Blake, isn't it?

And Emerson, Lake and Palmer wrote a quality song using the poem as lyrics.

I'll sign up if you play Emperor.

Mind if I join? I've never (EVER) done a cultural victory before, and it sounds very interesting!

I've only done one other SG (Arab Invasion), but am looking to get involved in more.

lurker's comment:
@ methos - youre too modest. i think youre ready for more than regent.
@ darwin - i think youll enjoy this

@ all - rule britannia, britannia rules the waves!

will lurk and try to comment
if you need a sub once in a while, i could be persuaded to partake in this holy communion.

OK, roster up:

DBear
Aegis Shield
leha
Lullaby
madviking
Darwin420
methos

OK, I'll get the starting posts up soon and we'll go from there.

Ok all, take a look and see what you like...

I would agree with #3 as well. When the plains are watered they'll act like bg's. I prefer a river for our 20k city for growth plus the lux will be nice. Other than #3 I would say #1 and #5 would be my next choices (they're near a river too).

#3 has much water in its 21. Plus it has a tundra tile to the north and only one bg.

I'd definitely prefer #1. But no start really shines.

I like #1 and #3. Either one looks decent enough.
