Vilati Timmadar
Warlord
Hi, guys.
After enjoying reading many games here, I decided to write one of my own games.
Everyone hoping for a big conquest story or a story from a real super-player - click away. I'm just an ordinary fun player, not using any tools, not milking, just playing for fun.
I'm playing Arabia (like the title says) on Regent, C3C. I'm playing on a modified world map; modified meaning: Much more ressources than originally planted, so I don't have to play a whole game just using longbowmen and spearmen. The rules are standard (no modifications), all victories active except space race (don't like it).
4000 BC: Start. Founded Mecca. Minimap indicates, that I start in France. A good starting position, because I like coast cities.
3550 BC: First contact with Sumeria in the west. We exchange technologies (1-1) and stay on friendly terms.
3500 BC: First warrior built; it protects Mecca.
2670 BC: Medina founded; Contacted Hittites; we stay on friendly terms, but they want 2 techs for one, so I don't trade.
2630 BC: Contacted Zulus
2510 BC: Contacted Babylon
2350 BC: Contacted Byzantines
1990 BC: First Granary built in Mecca; Mecca is becoming my settler factory. A small problem is: I can only expand to the west or a little to the south. That could slow down my expansion a little.
1870 BC: First spearman built in Medina. From now on, all defense units are spearmen. I don't like warriors and I am a "Defense"-Player. Spearmen protect you from almost all ancient age attack units when supported by walls.
1575 BC: Damascus founded
1450 BC: Hittites demand 25 gold; they get it. There's no need in starting a war right now. It would only end my expansion and I'd live the rest of the game as a backwater nation.
1275 BC: Baghdad founded
1150 BC: Najran founded
1025 BC: Tech exchange with Zulus; we give one and get four plus 20 gold. That's a good deal for Polytheism...
875 BC: Kufah founded
750 BC: Basra founded
690 BC: Khurasan founded
As you see, expansion goes quite fast and quite well.
570 BC: Monarchy developed; REVOLUTION! No need for staying at Despotism for long and since Arabians are religious...
550 BC: Monarchy established
450 BC: Anjar founded
410 BC: Embassies with Hittites and Sumeria established; good relations to your neighbors are important.
350 BC: Fustat founded
310 BC: First Kurragh built; now I'm starting to look how it's going in UK, Iceland, Greenland etc.
290 BC: Aden founded
270 BC: First temple built in Medina; Temples are from now on standard building in all cities.
210 BC: Yamama founded
190 BC: First walls built in Medina; first cultural expansion in Medina; walls are also added to all cities.
170 BC: First iron connected; nice; but I don't really need it at the moment. All is peaceful.
90 BC: Muscat founded; end of expansion phase 1; meaning: no more expansion over land.
30 BC: Hittites demand tech; they get it; Big trading round: Give 3 techs, get
5; First Galley built; the Galley will usher in expansion phase 2: expansion over sea.
10 BC: Landing party enters UK
10 AD: Landing party successfully defeats English natives (= barbarians). Warrior vs. Warrior fight.
90 AD: Contacted Japan in America; seems like the nations on the american continents are far behind us "europeans" in tech.
Established embassy with Byzantines
110 AD: Kurragh lost in Northern Sea - was a little to courageous...
Scout landed in Greenland
230 AD: Mansura founded
250 AD: Bukhara founded
270 AD: Concept of Republic invented; but due to a weak infrastructure I stay at Monarchy for the moment.
Irish natives defeated
280 AD: Contacted China
300 AD: Fez founded
320 AD: Explorers in Greenland killed by Greenland natives
330 AD: Warriors landed in Greenland
360: Middle ages!
Embassies established with China, Japan, Babylon
370: REVOLUTION!
380: Shiraz founded
Warriors in Greenland defeat Greenland natives
390: Republic established; finally we are at Republic; money is flowing and tech development is speeding up.
