I dropped to dead last in the Quartermaster's List?? I'm the worst of the best!!

Congratulations everyone! Especially Tone, for making the QC list, and bluejay for passing me.

Especially Tone for taking superslug down a notch!!!
This was not a desired outcome. I really enjoy the fatest finish games but I lose patience with the Histographic milk games. I've had one on the go for a while now but I wasn't finding the time to make any progress so I submitted an OCC Histographic victory just to get QM status! I hope this wasn't treating the version with disrespect so apologies for getting in the table this way.

Oh yes, I will finish that milk run. Well, after a few more fatest finishes anyway :mischief: .

Congrats to all entrants who are making the number 1 slots harder to acheive.

You have all #1's in Machiavelli, Pentathlon, and Octathlon. There are only 3 other QMs with all #1s. One half-decent Histograph and you would be one of the top quartermasters. I think it is safe to say you not only deserve to be there but to be ranked near the top. More so than yours truly, at least. ;)

I couldn't disagree more. In many cases, my QC games were half-hearted near-boredom runs done on low level empty tables just to fill slots and get my on the full list. As a result, I'm at the bottom.

My standing will improve immensely when I upgrade my Histographic standing, and I obviously think it's funny that I'm dead last. Bottom line, I'm enjoying where I'm at, and having fun is the whole point!

@Denniz: The league table doesn't lie (to steal a much over-used football cliche :) ). I've been lurking in your histograph thread to try and get some hints-very informative and maybe I can learn from it.

I guess we are both happier with a certain type of game. It just happens to be a different type :)

Absolutely!

In the Details page, why don't LeSphinx's and Marsned's games have rankings?
Rankings are only shown if between 1 and 10. If the game doesn't make the table then the ranking isn't shown. I.e. Marsned's game was an 820AD Tiny Emperor Conquest. To get 10th place on that table currently requires betting 710BC.

Then what's the point of submitting and accepting them? Just to be there?
The point of submitting them? I really couldn't explain that one, except that occasionally one would make the HOF tables but gets pushed off before the update by a more recent submission.

The acceptance of them I can explain. While the games don't make the HOF tables, posting them in the update does publicize that a particular player has shown interest and capacity in playing by HOF standards. I don't really have any statistics or anything, but I assume it's maybe lead to some increased HOF activity.

I submitted my game because it was the highest firaxis score I'd ever achieved and also was the first time I have won on Emperor. It's not very impressive for anyone else, but I was pleased. Also, I really won't know for sure if I can make it on a table if I don't submit.

Discouraging you is the last thing I wanted. I just checked and saw that your score is bigger than my top score :). I'll have to start milking :D

Also sorry for mispelling you name.

I'm really sorry, Pentium. I just re-read my post and it reads alot differently than I intended. I personally was disappointed that I didn't rank and that set my tone. I don't want you to think I'm being nasty, but I get kind of down that I can't score those really big scores and I felt like you were saying why bother.
I understand better now. :)

The not rated games count on the total games submitted and total score of games submited and I like being part of the whole HOF.

Actually, my only game that got a ranking so far, I was really disappointed because I scored under 1000, but it made it and the other two I got about 5000+ and 6000+ which are my personal highest but they did not rank. That's why I'll always submit when I play from now on. I was already following most of the HOF rules and it was a minor adjustment, and I really like participating in the group. Thanks

Marsen, the trick is to target empty tables/slots before you start a game. It's easy enough to do since there's still thousands of empty slots.

However much you get in, we're happy to see you in the HOF. Since IV is approaching, seeing new III players really keeps we on the staff motivated. It makes us feel good to see our efforts put to good use!
