English Football thread No.3

I can't believe Baptista snubbed us. How rude of him ;)

Not too keen on it really but then it would be nice for him to finally sign...

Well their man united fans, so should be classified as neaderthals, and thus, get angry at things that confuse them such as work contracts.

fb, you need to post in this thread as often as possible!

:)

Did anybody see Freddy Adu say that Chelsea are his favourite club in the world on Sky Sports? I wonder how long he's felt that way...:hmm:

Is a neanderthal just a neaderthal who can spell?

Have to agree though, Man U fans seem to drag their knuckles on the ground a bit. I'm a newcastle fan, mainly beacuase they wear the right colours. Don't follow it all that closely.

Do Chelsea really need every player?

I'm sure if Arsenal/Man Utd were to win the league this year, then Freddy may find a new favourite team...

Breaking news: A player is sold without chelsea making a bid!
Only joking, that would never happen.
Oh, and i support Brighton and hove albion, on the basis that its my most local team (30 minutes drive away), so if you knuckle draggers want to get there own back, feel free.

And where are they in the league? They obviously are not in the Premier league. :p

No, but they did go from the old 3rd division to 2st division with 2 succesive promotions, which is rare. Then they got relegated, and have see-sawed between championship and div1.

Hopefully Newcastle can improve on last season quite a bit...
Not with Souness in charge. I don't know how that guy keeps getting employed. He's the worst man-manager in the Premiership and now he wants to buy Anelka. Newcastle will be lucky to finish in the top-half if he's still in charge by the end.

What are peoples opinion of Manchester United fans booing Rio for taking so long to agree to terms with ManU?
Funny. I've been waiting so long for Man Utd to implode and it's finally happening. I actually think we (Liverpool) might be able to finish about them in the league. Viva la Rafavolution!

Cant see that happening from a neutral perspective. The top three will simply be (in no particular order) Arsenal, Cheslea and Manchester United. As for an actual order i would say for starters it will be alot closer this year but Manchester United will win it, Chelsea second and Arsenal third. With a big drop down to 4th place.

There is little reason why a few other sides like Liverpool or Middlesboro couldn't be closer to the big three this season. I would be vaguely surprised if we see the same level of domination this season with such a large gap between them and the rest but it could happen.

It happens every year. At first it was just arsenal and ManU, with the rest usually a fair way behind. But now chelski have spent half the world's income on players they dont need, they have joined the top race. None of the other teams have a realistic chance at winning the title.
I think it'll be arsenal, chelsea, united this season, with liverpool 4th maybe.
