WWII Mediterranean Theatre of Operations
By Luddi VII

Background
At the beginning of WWII, there were only fightings in Europe between Germany, Britain and France. Even if Mussolini described the alliance between Italy and Germany as an "Axis of Blood and Steel", he decleared Italy neutral. But when Rommel reached the English Channel, Mussolini felt that the war was coming to an end. And on the 10th of June, Italy decleared war on the Allied nations. The war in the Mediterranean had begun....

Nations

There are eight nations in this scenario, but only two playable.

This is how the alliances look like:

The Allies
Commonwealth
Greece
Yugoslavia

The Axis
Italy
Bulgaria
Vichy-France

The Neutrals
Spain
Turkey

Scenario Specifics
- The scenario starts at Week 23 1940 and ends at Week 18 1945. That makes the scenario around 250 turns long.
1 turn=1 week

- The scenario uses a map on 160x160 of the Mediterranean.

- The loading time is short. I've removed the Water Trade to reduce it a bit. (Thanks to El Justo for his ingenious solution) It took around 30 seconds-1 minute on my computer (1.6 GHz & 256 MB Ram), but can take longer time on slower computers.

- The scenario requires Conquests BETA Patch v1.20 or higher to play.

Known bug
Sometimes when you try to load the scenario from "Civ-Content" the game may exit and return to the desktop. If you encounter it, try to load it several times. If that doesn't work report it here. Other times it can occur when you try to see "Advanced Flight" and "Governments" in the civilopedia. I can't see any other solution than to don't see "AF" and "Governments" in the civilopedia. This bug is very strange and annoying.

If you encounter any other bug, please report it.

Downloads
You need to download the main art and text file, and unzip it to the Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios folder. It’s on around 38 MB.
http://www.civfanatics.net/downloads/civ3/scenarios/WWIIMediterranean.zip

Then download the BIQ, and place it in the Civilization III\Conquests\Scenarios folder.

I think that was all! Comments and such are welcome! :D

EDIT:
WWIIMediterraneanBIQ Removed after 160 DL's.
WWIIMediterraneanBIQ v1.1 Removed after 288 DL's.

Luddi VII,

This scenario really looks great.

I am sure it will be a hit!

Rocoteh

looks good. i'll download this once i have my comp fully working again and c3c installed.

It looks very good. :)

But some problems :( :

-The first time I tried to play it CTD while loading the civilization selection screen.
-Then the second time it CTD when I right-clicked on the "advanced flight" tech on the tech tree.

Glad you like it!

Enjoy! :D

EDIT: I also had this bug, but I think I found a way to solve it.

1. Open the "WWIIMediterranean" in the editor.
2. Go to view-options and check "Compress BIC files".
3. Save and then try to play the scenario again.

It may be that I just did something in the editor, but this is what I did anyway. But I think I recommend to just try to play the scenario for a third time.

I voted good. I meant very good. I played it for about a half hour as Italy. I am not done yet, but it was awesome.

Luddi, great job in pulling this together, it's an area of operations that I've always wanted to put more attention to.

I've started by looking through the editor and one quick comment came up. The Hurricane Tankbuster has an A/D/B of 20/2/0. I think that what was intended was a 0/2/20 for tankbusting capabilities?

Cheers,
Xatokuom

@Xatokuom
I gave it a large attack, so it could crush the tanks in combat. You see, I've set it as a ground unit.

@Martyn
Thank you, that was all I need to know. I thought the reason for your problem was which version of C3C you had. I have another question instead: Do you play C3C in another language than english?

Do you play C3C in another language than english?

No.

I played it a third time, it works until I try to look at "Advanced flight", other than that it is fine.

I have one suggestion. You should have the "retain culture"(I think that is what it is called) option on, because it looks a bit odd when you take a city and the borders reduce to nothing and being in wartime mode means you cannot build culture buildings.

Another odd thing:

The British have destroyed two cities, one of which had a victory point. The cities where Beirut and Damascus.
