Welcome to the new stErzNES.
As you all know I had my fair share if extremly unsuccefull NES's. The thing is that I have too much free time on my hands... and I have to spend it. So if the players cooporate, I shall to.
Some promises I make tomyself to atleast a low succefull NES:
1) I won't send hordes of barbarians on my players. Well not at the beginning.
2) I will update ON TIME without looking at how many orders I have.
3) I'll do my best handeling NPC's.
We will begin in 2000 BC and each update would be 100 years for now. You can only start in gray areas on map. BUT if it seems like you will be alone in one big area most likly I won't allow you to stay there... So keep that in mind.
Anything else?
Ok to the rules.
This are our stats:
Country name
Ruler: \
Government:
Religion:
Economy: Stable (+2)
Age: Early Iron Age
Army: 500 Spearmen (normal), 200 Archers (normal)
Navy: 30 Galleys
Culture:
Education:
Confidence:
Notes:
Easy to say about most of them but i'll explain on each one.
Country Name:
Just replace this with your... country name. You shouldn't change country name a lot... After all it is part of the culture...
Ruler:
Before the \ comes the ruler (or dynesty name) in the NES. After it comes the player nick.
Government:
Just make up anything you want BUT KEEP IT IN THE TIME ZONE... No... communism so early!
Religion:
Use real ones, make up your own I don't care. Just no 'new' real religions too early!
Economy:
Unlike in the other NESes, you dont have to pay economy levels to do anything (my reasoning is that no matter what some people say, national economy is not as unstable and absurd as to rise and drop in turns as the years go). You will have three spend points for every turn, to be spent on increasing any stat save for economy. Otherwise, you could use both spend points to grow economy.
If you want to hurry up a project by two turns, you can sacrifice an economy level, please note that you can do it only once during a project. Otherwise you can sacrifice an economy level to receive five extra with the other three spending points for a turn.
Economy can, just like any other stat, grow or decrease due to random events. However it is even more influenced by random events then other stats as this is the crucial one.
Depression-Bankrupt-Recession-Very Poor-Poor-Not Bad-Normal-Good Enough-Growing-Rich-Very Rich-Richer-Richest-Economic Powerhouse-Monopoly (after Monopoly, you get Monopoly+x, where x is the amount of economy levels beyond Monopoly)
Age:
Ages of the game... the higher you are the betetr your armies are equiped usualy.
Ages:
Early Iron Age
Middle Iron Age
Late Iron Age
Miliatry:
Come in numbers for each unit. By how much each grouth is could be found for each age in one of the first page posts.
Also comes in training. Training costs spending points like growing... Each unit is trained on it's own.
Training levels:
Rabble-Tolerable-Normal-Good-Very Good-Elite
You can make 1 UU per age that would have spiecel stuff.
Culture:
This is how culturally strong, patriotic and unified your nation is. A nation with strong patriotism is less likely to fall into a civil war, and its people would resist most invaders and otherwise help their government. This also influences army morale. A nation with weak patriotism is unlikely to be as resistant to outside threats, there will often be rebellions and defections.
None-Divided-Untrusting-Average-Strongly Cultured-Devoted-Patriotic-Hyperpatriotic-Jingoist-Uberpatriotic
Education:
This is just how your people are... educated, I guess. Obvious enough. With a good education, you have better chances of receiving a miraculous invention. You could design better walls and siege engines, and ships for that matter, with higher education. It also affects just how advanced are your weapons, and thus the success of your army in a battlefield.
Once someone reaches Enlightenment education, he becomes much more likely to reach the next age as soon as it becomes possible at all. When he does, he loses two education levels.
None-Dumb-Illiterate-Tolerable-Literate-Educated-Well Educated-Perfect-Academic-Enlightenment
Confidence:
People can be fiercely unified and patriotic, but they will not necessarily like their ruler - in fact, a strongly cultured nation with little confidence in its leaders can, in its cultural unity, lynch the rulers and fire their remains from cannons. Into the huge pot filled with boiled sharks. Not that the rulers will care by then... You can grow confidence by economy (propaganda), but wouldnt it be easier to write a speech or persuade the people that you are the leader they need?

I believe this is all
