Toukon II : The Sengoku Period

Toukon II : The Sengoku Period

RULES:

ARMIES:
Armies are on map and represented by a small plack dot. Black squares represent five armies, but will only use it when there are simply too many armies stacked in a province.

'ECONOMY':
For each province you control at the beggining of the turn, you get an army. So if you have 30 provinces, you have 30 armies worth in reinfrocements that turn.

MOVEMENT:
Armies can only move one province per turn. So they are either Moving to attack an enemy province, or moving to fortify another province of yours.

IMPORTANT:
You must always have at least ONE army Per Province!.

NEW UNITS:
You will put all of your new units at the end of your turn. This would be the same as if you placed them at the beggining of the turn since Newly placed armies cant move or attack that same turn. new armies can be placed in any of your provinces. (Except those that have been completely encircled by another nation)

LANDBRIDGES:
In the map there are black lines connecting territories with each other, this means you can travel from one to the other.

STORIES:
Storywriters get random events........... In any of my other neses, but this is boardgame hardcore, so no stories here.

WATCH OUT, SOMETHING DIFFERENT HERE.
---HOW ORDERS AND UPDATES WILL WORK:
Everyone is used to the system of everyone sending orders at the same time and the mod to update w/ all orders simuntaneously.

However in a board game that brings up trouble, nations attacking same provinces at the same time is not good to mod. this and other many disadvantages apear in the one udpate for all turns.

So how is this going to be fixed?, i will do updates with the Turn hotseat style. Every update will be just the turn of one individual. Just like real boardgames!. So i will update at least once every day to keep the nes going pretty quickly.

However having turns of only one person per day may make it slow, so every turn i will do the turns of 2 players that are too far away from each other to make sure that there is no interaction. Here is the order-

Update 1- Everyone sends orders, army placement only. (26 armies for everyone)
Update 1.1- Brown and Dark Blue
Update 1.2- Hot Pink and Orange
Update 1.3- Light Purple and Brownish green
Update 1.4- Dark Gray and Pink
Update 1.5- Red and light blue
Update 1.6- Dark purple and middle purple
Update 1.7- Green
Back to brown and green and so on...

I will redo that schedule once all spots are taken so nobody is confused about the colors and stuff.

BATTLE:
Battles will be done the Risk Style, i will roll one dice for every defender and two for every attacker. If the Defender is equal or higher than the attacking dice, then the Defender will win and the enemy army will die.
As simple as that.

FLEETS:
Nope, no ships here, just use landbridges and fight your way into all of Japan

DIPLOMACY:
Well, is good to have allies in your long struggle of conquest, but again, can you trust anyone?!.

STATS:
No need for stats, but ill still make a page for it so everyone knows the order from which orders are taken and whos in charge of what nations, if you want to know how many new armies you get every turn, just count the number of provinces you are holding the beggining of that turn.

VICTORY:
Last Neser Standing wins.

FIRST UPDATE:
The first update will simply be Strategic Deployment, so you have to go and place 26 armies (everyone has 26 provinces) in any way you want. Just placement, no attack and such. That will be the only update from which i will have everyones orders at the same time.
After that ill post whos turn it is to send orders and telling you how many new armies you need.

Forgot something?, ask.

THE FOLLOWING PEOPLE HAVE RESERVED SPOTS:

Jason The King
UK Nemesis
Alex
Cone Head
Toteone
Tossi
Erez
Insane Panda
Roddy Rv

that makes 4 'free' spots for the taking. If you have a reserve spot and cant join, tell me so i can free it up.

Dark Blue - Murakami Clan
Red - Mori Clan - TOMMY TOON

wow, that map is hard to see all of....
i'll join.

i'd like to get the tuesday updates, if possible. lol.

but seriously, i'll take the green ones on the southern tip.

EDIT: question on the battle system.
if 5 of my armies attack 3 of jasons's armies, how many dice does each roll.
do i roll 2 and he roll 1
or do i roll 10 and he roll 3
and is it total of the numbers rolled that you compare to determine winner, or average or highest pairs or what?
its not very clear.

What, I'm not reserved? Well then again I'd rather you reopen your old nes then start this new one.

But uh...Hot Pink - Imagawa Clan

Thats the one, bascially in the middle of everything right?

ouch. you're right.
338 provinces that's a lot of numbering, though
maybe use a base 26 system (ie the alphabet) to keep it to a two digit system.
like every player's starting provinces are "named" A-Z, and then each player is assigned a number which is also added to the name to differentiate between the different "a" provinces and so on.

Stalin, if we start with 26 armies, and we each have 26 provinces and you need at least one army per province, then whats the point of the first turn? Or do we already have an army in each province?

If this goes well, I will completely revise my preference to not play board neses and discourage them

Of course, my nation is above.

Well, i do the dice rolling, just like in risk, two for attack, one for defense.
No, i just kill armies one by one..... i tought u played risk gameboard before.

I roll two dice for the attacker, they are 3 and 4.
i roll one dice for the defender, it is 4

Defenders wins cus it was equal or higher than the attacker numbers. so that attacking army dies off.

in the map you can see that every province already has an army, so yes, there are already armies in all provinces.

send orders on map form, is faster for you to do, and me to read.

so one to where u are putting new armies and one pointing out what you attacking and w/ how many, is not that hard
