On Turn 1, when the Swordsman is completed, move the laborer from the horses to the unmined BG S of Civatonia for 3-turn swords/horses.
If we get a mined BG, for 11-shields per turn, on the 3rd turn of the cycle, move the laborer from the mined BG to the horses for extra commerce, unless the BG is roaded already.
Civatonia is a HUGE production powerhouse. I might ask that you change the build queue to put maybe a Horseman or Two in their, at the moment or Military lacks mibility, which is needed since we are not very well roaded yet. I feel that our Swordsman Supply is enough at the moment, (8 Swordsman) and we only have 3 Horseman, our Offenisve Mobility severly lacks, and mobility is important.
EDIT: Governor Ginger_Ale, you can continue on your normal Build Queue of Swordsman as Governor Furiey of the Augean Stables has offered to produce a nice Corp. Of Horseman for the Army Of Fanatiko's. Thank you for your time Governor.
I agree with the Minister. Perhaps, a horse following the next sword, but if an attack on Berlin would occur, the best way to take Berlin before Rome, is to position forces near the city. Also, the war would begin next TC due to the fact the barbs will attack soon, and if they attack Hiedelburg, that opens of the war window. Additonally, there is the risk that Rome will attack Germany after the barb strike.
Ahh Governor, Sorry to do this again to you, but the need for another Horseman is a little too great at the moment. I'd like to see a Horseman produced form Civatonia either First or after the First Swordsman, our Window Of Oppurtunity is a small one, and the Augean Stables isn't set-up for the quick production of a Horseman just yet.
Personally, I don't like using horsemen, especially with barbs running around right now. (2 vs 1 = attacking horsie usually wins). Once we get these horses cleared out, I'd like to keep building our swords.
They are good to station them in our cities and pick off units with low HPs / low defense ... after the one horse, I would continue to mass-produce swords.
After the barbarian threat is gone and the war is over/about to be declared (ie; we have a sizeable force), I would build an aqueduct, so at size 7-8 we can get 15 spt for 2 turn swords (and later 20 spt for 2 turn MDIs / 4 turn Knights).
Necessary improvements in order of priority:
[*]Aqueduct
[*]Marketplace
[*]Cathedral
[*]University (well, I put this last since it comes later than the rest)
Once we get those 3 / 4, I would just pound out military units.
Should I make it say Horseman* (* if barbarians are gone, build swordsmen) ?
Probably not, Unlike many players probably I like the mobility of the horseman, and they are good for stopping re-inforecements, gathering intelligence and safe-guarding offensive units.
Mobility units always have a place in my book. Besides we need another Horseman if we choose to raid Eastern Germany, which would help smooth over our Swrodsman Pull-out and prevent any reinforcemetns from upsetting our siege.

Comments welcome - I'll be the DP for this session, wish me luck.
Not much to change from the last time. I am thinking once the German war is over, we should focus on infrastructure: aqueduct, marketplace, (cathedral), university as well.
3? Sorry, that would cost way too much GPT. 4 gpt just for those units alone - we need all the $$$ we can get. Right now our military budget should be spent on offensive units.
I recommend mass producing Swordsman as they'll easily pick off the Army Of german Archers in Heidelburg. hopites aren't mobile enough, Swordsman are our best bet right now.

While Swordmen would be more offensively productive units, we have currently lost a lot of Hoplites to those barbarians. If the German invasion goes through, we'd be sending two Hoplites to Berlin, leaving only three to defend all of our cities Edit: Four counting the Hoplite from Priapos. I'd like to see a few Hoplites built around Fanatikos if we plan to invade Berlin.
That's too true Gerikes, but Im faced with a dilema at the moent, their is a big German Archer Army to our south at Heidelburg, and Hoplites can't really attack them they'd have to attack US...That means placing them in high Priority spots, such as City's but then they're free to pillage...If we build Swordman then we can attack them but have no back-up defense, If that's the case maybe a split between the two alternating every build??
