Welcome to the City State and capital of our fair nation, Olympus :)

Governor: Grand Moff CivGeneral
Lt. Governor: Please apply within

Information to come soon

Greeting, Governor CivGeneral, from the wealthy city of Priapos!

I, Gerikes, wish to offer my hand to begin arrangements between our cities. Unlike the other cities of Fanatikos, we have been put in the precarious situation of needing to agree upon our plans for sharing resources within both of our city limits. As both our cities and the needs for improved land grow, there will no doubt be times where both cities might wish to use a plot of land. My hopes are to make arrangements now so as to prevent future, unforeseen problems.

As it is, there are six potential tiles 'twixt our city limits. So long as neither city wishes to use either tile that the other city has plans for, no problem exists. However, if when posting our instructions we see discrepancies, I hope that we would be quick to contact the other Governor and resolve the dispute.

As it is, I have promised the citizens of Priapos that I would post all final instructions in the Priapos city thread at least a day prior to the turnchat for approval and comments. Hopefully this will not only provide the citizens with a means of expressing their voice about policy before they are set in stone, but also help with any possible discrepancies we may have.

I look forward to working with you.

Governor CivGeneral

I have heard reports that some Workers may be joined to Olympus to take advantage of the MOM. Please consider that at the moment Olympus can grow in 2 to size 5 then quickly reach size 7 if MMd for growth rather than production. After that however growth will slow as double the amount of food is needed before a new citizen is born so joining a citizen then will save more turns of slower growth. Joining workers once the city reaches size 7 will therefore speed the growth to size 12 compared to joining workers earlier. In the turns before they are joined these workers could improve around Olympus and the rest of our nation.

Thanks for the comments, I will look into them :).

Governor CivGeneral,

I am provisionally allocating 4 workers to Olympus, with the condition that 3 of them are to be merged into the city. Using them to irrigate a tile prior to merging is acceptable, as Olympus is capable of rapid growth and production.

-- Ravensfire, President of Fanatikos

Governor CivGeneral,

I would like to prevail upon you to assist the Governor that so nobley aided the growth of your fair city.

As you know, both Styx and Olympus are currently without defense. Olympus is close to completing a barracks, and has the capacity to train hoplites quickly (2 turns). I request that Olympus finish the Barracks, then train 2 units of Hoplites, one of which would be to defend Styx.

Governor DaveShack assisted your city in growing rapidly, by moving portions of his work force to Olympus. Let the fruits of their labor benefit their home city in their time of need.

-- Ravensfire, President of Fanatikos

Governor CivGeneral,

I was disappointed to see that my words did not persuade you to assist your fellow Governor. Nor did I see any proposed instructions, as many of the other Governors have taken to doing, to spark discussion on their city.

I will bear this in mind for the future.

-- Ravensfire, President of Fanatikos

Governor CivGeneral,

I must agree with President Ravensfire. There is absolutely no reason why we should be building either a Colloseum or a Granary in our capital. Olympus currently has 7 happy citizens, and will soon be maxed out at Size 12 until the early Industrial Age.

Luckily for Fanatikos, the Colloseum hasn't been built yet. The only way to avoid wasting shields is to consider building the Hanging Gardens, although we can still revert to the President's original plan. It's your call, but I agree that it is time to start involving the people in your decisions. This continued wastefulness has got to stop.

Cordially,

Donovan Zoi
Vice President

Ill, cancel the Colloseum and start on building defensive units or the HGs. Ill post up a discussion for the queues for this city. Sorry if I have disapointed you all . Recently I had been hit hard with college and had to post up build queues or risk having a repeat of DG5 Term1 (or what ever DG it was when I forgot to post the queues twice)

Governor,

As a reminder, we have a fairly good-sized treasury, and expect to make over 50 gold per turn for a bit.

If there are projects in your city that make sense to be rushed with extra labor, please post the request in the budget thread.

Thanks!
-- Ravensfire, President of Fanatikos

Governor,

As a reminder, since a Moderator has not updated the title, there is a game session scheduled for this Friday (October 21st) at 1900 GMT, or 2 pm Central time.

I apologise for not posting up an instruction post, this past week has not been well for me. Recently, I regret to say, that my grandfather has passed on, which is why I have not been posting as much in CFC lately. :(.

Greetings Governor CivGeneral,

In planning the City of Styx instructions for the upcoming play session tomorrow, I noticed that Olympus will be growing to size 12 in 4 turns. That means that shortly thereafter, excess food in your fine city will start to go to waste. If you could consider building a worker at each point Olympus's food box will be full, those people could be reassigned to Styx to help with our push towards wonder builds. If you can help us in this way, the citizens would be most appreciative. :D

Regards,
DaveShack, Governor of Styx
