Looks good. The hat in the medieval era looks a little weird, though.
 
now we just need to know how to make his civ.

Gustavus? Sounds Roman. Anyway, I was about to scream and yell at you for making a useless bump, but now I am interested.

Since ED also made a Gustav Vasa LH, and we have lots of smart people here, how come now one noticed. Eh, smart people? How come?
 
I was referring to the authors of the wikipedia article. And chaseclift obviously doesn't know Latin. ;)

To solve the mystery: Yes, old documents were often written in Latin, and the names latinized (in this case, adding an -us) . This doesn't make them more correct than the "regular" name. So jorde is right.

Later in the 18th Century, the name Gustavus Vasa was given to Olaudah Equiano, a prominent African ex-slave living in Britain and involved in the struggle to abolish slavery."

Gustavas was a fictional character based on Gustav Vasa.

I can hardly believe my ears. Actually after looking over it, it would make more sense if it was Gustavus(Swedish), the figure head I would criticize as wildly inaccurate, if Jorde had made the figure head with african features in the face and darker, and named it differently there would be no trouble. The way that it was made it was decidedly european and more of a european complexion of a sea captain or one that was bronzed by the sun(outdoors as well). I read alot and read about the Thirty year war so that was how I came to know about Gustavus
 
I´m a swede my self and i never heard anyone talking about some Gustavus Vasa even though i´m quite intrested in history. Gustav is the right name and no silly "Gustavus"!:nono:

Gustav I, Gustav Vasa (known as Gustav Erikson before his coronation)

Born 1496 - died 1560, and was succeeded by his son Eric XIV

In sweden Gustav "Ericsson" Vasa is simply known as Gustav Vasa. And "Gustavus Adolphus" is simply Known as Gustav II Adolf. So what you call Gustavus Vasa was no liberator from danish rule.
