The Information Poster is in...French!!!???

I just opened my U.S. version of Civ 4 Special Edition and the poster with techs, upgrade units, resouces, etc. is entirely in French!! The manual and the game are in English though. Either I'm learning some French here or I need an expanation.

Seriously, that is a major gaff if all the games have it...but it is still funny!

Franco-haters in the US may have their heads explode!!! :eek:

That's actually very funny, although it sucks. I can only imagine that will be a problem with a whole batch of games, but how do you not catch that?

But yeah that does suck. Hope not ALL of them are in French.

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we just discovered why the North American release was delayed 24 hours.

Judging from the comments a number of other posters have made, not all of the posters are French. I could completely see, however, how they might have accidentally started packing French posters, destined for Quebec, into bibles intended for the U.S. A couple of hours later, they discover the mistake, and are now terribly behind schedule. Either they tried to unpack the bibles and replace the posters (in which case MeteorPunch's was one of the few that slipped through the cracks) or they just decided to go ahead, get everyone the game, and replace the French posters (in which case MeteorPunch has one of the first Civ4 bibles ever made!). Hence, a delay in shipping.

But yeah, MP, I figure you can probably complain and get the poster replaced without having to give up the game.
 
哈哈~ 他们搞扎了 Haha they finally screwed up~ Can we ask for a compensation for that if it happens to most of us?
 
I agree, it sucks...
Personally, I've ordered it in the UK to have an english version (I prefer Civ humor in original version ;-) ). I would be a bit disappointed if the poster was in spanish/german or even french.
