ok, purely hypothetical here, but if there was to be an expansion that added more eras to the game, what would you want it to be like?

I have been craving a really extensive future age since CTP brought it up. I like to see the whole range, submarine cities, Battlemechs, Fusion Power, Cyber-Entertainemt etcetcetc my list of ideas is endless! Sometimes I get the feeling that the reason we have not seen something the like so far is just a little pouting done by the cIV team bc CTP came up with the idea. Probably my imagination tho ;)

Uhh, Call to Power is a different franchise. It's not connected to Sid Meier's Civilization.

That said while I could care less if there was a future era or not, it might be interesting.

i know, just making comparisons.

BUMP.... i hope bumping's not illegal, sorry if it is.

Already working on it. In my case, I'm basically taking around 30 Alpha Centauri techs, and tweaking a bit. Plus, adding maybe 10 of my own, to include things like Mecha, power armor, energy shields, zombies, genetically engineered dragons, futuristic naval vessels, that sort of thing. A few things are rearranged, too; since there's no need to duplicate AC's techs for rovers, jets, and copters, I moved the anti-grav stuff up much earlier (hovertanks just before Fusion, gravships just after).

The bigger problem is this: when's the last time you played a Civ game where you actually REACHED the Future Techs? Most games are decided long before that point; if I ever reach Modern Armor, it's only because I've either been toying with my opponents, or I'm just mopping up. Or a Scenario, of course.
