Hello All,

Like many I received a French Language Tech Tree Poster in my Civ4 box.

2k Was kind enough to post a .pdf of the poster in English. Kudos to them. :goodjob:

Problem is, the damned thing is so small when printed you can't read it.

So I, instead of working today, fired-up PhotoShop and made a new .pdf file which has the different sections of the poster blown-up and on spearate pages.

Download it HERE: http://ericcable.net/Civ4/Civ4.zip

I don't feel the thing viloates copyright in any way as I simply taking the .pdf that 2k is distributing for free, and presenting it differently. ;)

ATTENTION FORUM MODERATORS: Please fell free to copy this file and put it in a public download area here at CivFanatics. I fear that if a huge number of people download this thing it will adversely affect my bandwidth.

Enjoy the file everyone.

Very nice. My games aren't here yet. (and yes, I ordered 2 from different companies for speed and the fact we have two computers, so we will be playing together) Already printed out and reviewed. Are there any other on-line sources out there for those of us who don't have it yet? I'd really like to create a reference book early. I find the ones they send don't usually have all the good-to-know info handy. Hopefully this time will be different.

I might update this file with things like indicators on the tech tree for which techs start which religions, etc.

I'm not aware of any other online rescource.

Strange... so many people complaining about needing to use the poster, yet they're ignoring this thread.

Maybe I'll change the title.

Amazon.com has updated the Civilization IV Strategy Guide listing with the guide's cover art. The guide is 192 pages and is being published by BradyGames. You can order it now for just $13.59, 32% off the $19.99 list price. Check the CFC home page for links. It's not released yet. It sounds like a crucial add on to the game.

Yep, ordered it two months ago, but as you said it hasn't been shipped yet. Hoping someone creates the good stuff on line while I wait for the game. I'm hoping the game or guide includes estimates like what will happen to your economy if you add a city, how much GP cost from 1..n, etc. Previous guides have been extremely lacking in detail. Hopefully this one is better. Guess I'll just have to spend tomorrow at the beach since I won't have the game yet.

Thx alot. I was doing this myself in photoshop for one part of the pdf but now i see you done it already :)

I was hoping to find out what all the Wonders do, as well as the buildings. :(

Oh well, my game might get here today...

EB Games had the Strat guide on sale when I picked up my game on Wednesday. They were selling it 20% off on that first day, I was gonna get it, but I didn't have the money on my card to cover it. My brother however, did get it. I haven't looked at it yet, so I don't know how usefull it is yet.

Good job, thanks. Although I would prefer a zip with .PNG or .JPG files, this is still not bad.

Would it be possible for you to make an external Civilopedia as well? Or simply post a Civilopedia.txt file, in case the former is too much to ask? Thanks.

Thanks to all for the compliments.

As for the quoted stuff: .PNG or .JPG would not have been huge file sizes. Since I had .pdf(s) from 2K it was easier to re-render them in Photoshop, and reexport to .pdf

I have no scource material for an external Civilopedia. Keep in mind I typed very little for this thing, it was basiclly photo editing.

The thing is that I'm actually French and when I hear so many Americans telling they've got their tech tree poster in French, I wonder if I won't get my tech tree poster in English... :(

Indeed I don't believe they've published dozens of millions of those posters in French... as such, there can only be some kind of silly swap where they've put the French ones in the wrong boxes... which means only the English ones remain for the French boxes.

^^you speak such great English!

Hey, if you get an English poster, let me know. We can just swap!

Even when they try to fix something they screw it up  LMAO.

:joke: but it had to be said.
Nice work.
