Can't Install the game!! Please Help

When I insert CD 1 (install). It does the Autorun thing, I click install. Then the small window pops up and said
"Error number: 0x8004072
Description: Failed to load DLL: Dsetup
Setup will now terminate"

I updated my Windows (XP) and ATI driver. What's going on here? Please help

Clean the CD gentle and try again and be sure you have administrator previliges with your login account for winxp.

Also get Service Pack 2 installed if you havent done so yet.

...so those error numbers have no significance whatsoever other than dirty CD

I saw one piece of advice somewhere that said to trash all the contents of your temp directory... I did that and was able to complete the re-install.

Also check \windows\temp.

Some installers first unpack themselves, and may use a previously unpacked (but corrupted) component.

Do you have problems with that drive? I once had an intermittent CD drive - very annoying.
