Term 4- Govermental thread for Civatonia

Welcome, to the official thread for the great city of Civatonia, the main defense for eastern Fanatikos'.

I will first thank ravensfire for his gracious appointment as governor, thank you very much Mr. President. I will have a screenshot of Civatonia, plans, links to discussions, etc... posts in this thread. Also, questions, comments, and critiscism are welcome and any tips or suggestions are encouraged. With you, the citizen's help and my hopefully strong guiding hand, Civatonia will become and even better city than before.

These are my instruction comment and suggest improvements.

Build queue:

Current build: Hoplite
1st in queue: Hoplite- We need to continue to build up our defense with our current defense being our offensive units we need some hoplites, 2 will suffice for now

If we have a war with France
2nd: Knight- We only have 3 and knights are our best available unit
3rd: Knight- 5 is a nice number for our current knight force
4th: Longbow- We should have a balanced army and Longbows are cheap and will provide quick reinforcements
5th: Hoplite or Longbow- By this time a war with France will probably have started and with our main target being Besancon they will be heading for Civatonia, a third defense unit would be valuable. More Longbows can't hurt and for reasons just stated reinforcements may be needed.

If peace remains:

1st in queue: Hoplite- We still need more defense just in case
2nd: Knight- We should still make sure we have a strong army
3rd: University- We should have Education by now and a University will be valuable
4th: Bank- We will probably have Banking by now and a bank is no doubt valuable
5th: A military unit- Our army should increase in size especially with more money more units we can have


Micromangment: After workers finish their projects send all three to the horses square and mine it. Then when the city grows put the worker on the newly irriagated square by the two workers. When we get Education if it takes longer to build the University then the Colosseum take the citizen of the irrigation square by the two workers and but it on the forest roaded square by the single worker.

Worker Actions: After the two groups of worker finish their projects move all three and start mining the horse square. If they finish that the TC will still continue begin mining the hill square East of the Horse Square.

For the MM, you may want to look at the number of shields produced - you need 20 for a Hoplite but will currently produce 24 in two turns so 4 would be wasted. You could therefore move a citizen off the hill onto the mined BG for 1 less shield each turn but more food so that the city grows more quickly.

We have 11 hoplites now, so they just need to be distributed better (IMO we don't need as many as we have, but whatever).

You have a point, but nonetheless I disagree. With 5 cities and 11 hoplites each city will 2 hoplites will one left, this will help us in a war because we can reinforce a key city like Civatonia in a war with France and we won't have to waste two turns on building another hoplite and send those shields towards a offensive unit.

You may notice that your city is currently building a Coliseum. Do not be alarmed, this is a pre-build for the University in your queue as we don't know how to build one yet. Hopefully the foundations that are being laid now will serve equally well for the University once our scientists have made up their minds!

On other matters, the Workers stopped replanting what would be a useless forest, and have built roads to improve mobility for furture wars. It will also allow you to decide how best to improve these tiles, you may wish to irrigate some of the nothern grassland to support the population to work the hills and iron mountain.
