very strange SAVE-behaviour in multiplayer games

did anyone notice that the game creates a new user-profile folder under "documents and settings" each time you save a multiplayer game? it apparently creates a folder for every player that was in the game, and it creates the folder at the same location the corresponding player has it on HIS computer, so i now have a "document and settings"-folder on my c-drive AND my d-drive although my own profile folder only exists on my d-drive (before installing civ4, my c-drive contained no "documents and settings"-folder at all); what is more, civ4 creates the folders in various languages, each player in the game gets his own folder in "his" language (that is the language of the other player's windows installation), so i have folders called "my documents", "mine dokumenter", "eigene dateien", "mis documentos",... it's a nice mix-up :/

i accidently stumbled upon this and nearly got a heart-attack seeing all those unknown user account-folders on my machine and was sure my computer suffered some serious hack attacks and/or logins, that i didnt notice. well, i investigated further and it turned out that the folders only contain many sub-subfolders with the actual savegame inside the last one, phew.

so after calming down i really think that is some VERY bad behaviour of the game, the multiplayer saves could easily be saved somewhere else. its definitely not a good move to create new "documents and settings"-folders on volumes that didnt have such a folder before. but imho what's worse are the subfolders under "d&s" which normally corresponds to existing user-profiles on the machine and i really think that the way civ4 creates these folders is very misleading and could lead to some confusion to say the least.

i'm aware that the facts about all this folder-stuff are probably not known to the average windows-user, but nonetheless i really wonder what they were thinking?! so does anyone share my concerns or am i exaggerating things?

Perhaps a kind moderator would move this to the bugs section? It's clearly undesired behaviour, to say the very least. I haven't played multiplayer yet, but I surely would be seriously annoyed to find such folders. And indeed, imagine the spam if you play a few on-line games with a mixed audience?

It's annoying enough that the game creates a MyGames folder under MyDocuments. I haven't found the appropriate file to edit to move it to the Civ4 game folder.
