Greetings

As a geordie living in heathenlands I feel the urge to create a civilization for my brothers to be proud of.

This is the Mighty Geordie Nation.

(For those who don't know what that is - its basically a region in the North East of England)

I have some plans but would love some other inputs e.g. leaders with traits, etc.

Cheers:king:

Hentooth,
as a Geordie, maybe you could tell me the origin of "Toon Army"??

I think toon army comes from the way someone with a Geordie accent pronounces "town".

BTW I'm not a Geordie but my Dad is.

MattW is pretty much right.

'Toon' just derives from town and we are the Toon Army because the fanatasism we have for our football joins us together as a unit!

Ive lived all over England where football is big but the feeling on match day does not compare to what happens in Newcastle when the lads are going to war ( I live in Leeds now and when the Leeds fans go to the match it really is war, stuff the footie!)

That is the feel I want for my nation of Geordies!

oh, and BTW, football here really means it, not the rugby mutation that is American Football (is it true that only one person on the American footbal team is only allowed to use his feet? odd name for the sport!!)

Actually, everyone uses there feet. It's called "running."

Then why not call it footrun, as the foot does not make contact with the ball!

But we are getting off topic.....
