This thread is a list of all currently availabe civilizations for Civilization 4.
This list does not include civilizations for mods. Moderator Action: Attention: Original post transferred from LAnkou to CivDad. Version: Version refers to the Civilization 4 patch the civilization was made for. Unless stated otherwise, exactly that patch is also required for playing the civilization. Exception: 3.17 also works with 3.19 and vice versa. 1.xx refers to the basic game without any patches. Latest version is 1.74 (download the patch). 2.xx refers to the first expansion "Warlords". Latest version is 2.13 (download the patch). 3.xx refers to the second expansion "Beyond The Sword". Latest version is 3.19 (download the patch). A ? after the version number indicates, that the exact version might not be known. This does not regret any compatiblity, you have to try it out. Abyssinia Version: 1. ? Afghan Empire Version: 3. ? Good idea L'Ankou. It'll be nice when Firaxis or someone in the community comes up with a program to take these individual mods and combine them into a larger mod. From experience, it's a PITA.

I've been trying to congregate some thoughts on a compilation project from various Civ makers out there. So far we have interest -- but we need to complete our various projects before we actually put them together.
As far as my Carthage Mod is concerned -- it is in a state where it is considered complete; however, I will be adding a few more things to it before I declare it a finished product. Such as a second leader (Dido?), additional customized dialog, and some real documentation for people who wish to use the module in scenarios or to combine my module with other modules. This thread should be stickied.

I'd say Hamilcar... Dido is a little bit too mythical in my opinion...

As i said previously, i would be glad for the compilation...
the great thing would be to have every files modded like the one you've done for the text in carthage: an added file instead of modifying one, it would be so much simpler... add Texas in first post

Perhaps, since there are so many of these mods, the administrators would consider adding a subforum?

I'm doing the Mayan civilization
Just making the finishing touches to my Dutch civ, and then I'm ready to go all out on the next civ (currently done a few xml files with pedia entries and leaders, but nothing major yet for the Maya)

add portugal...
Civarmy s.1994 should stop posting his civ in the wrong forum, if a modder could move his thread into this forum, that would be nice.... Should i group civ by cultural area? or any other grouping? if the same modder could sticky this thread, i would be glad too (pure pride of having a thread sticked)

I had all but completed a celtic mod, but I gave up due to my own pickiness when it comes to accuracy
now I'm having a hard time deciding what to do next. .maybe I will look into the Koreans
