this is supposed to be an EPIC STOYTELLING GAME.
following the joy of DAR01 we'll be trying for a similar type game.

places reserved for DAR01 vets, or anyone else with a desire for storytelling.

our twist - all AI will be of the aggressive strain.
we ARE NOT allowed to declare war, and must remain as peaceful as possible.

victory we want - UN or CULTURAL

all variants are open for discussion, as this is new territory for us all.

game will open when atleast 5 slots are taken.

i want it to be challenging yet doable, and not hard enough to take all effort into the game and out of writing.

I don't believe I'd go with all random, instead pick specifics. I say this as going all random tends to end up with the exact same map. I believe I'm playing the same map in at least two SG's.

You know, to use the same concept we've used in Arabic Invasion and Dar01 we could stay with the Earth map. Rhye has one you can find here.

Just realized that by using Rhye's map we wouldn't be using all aggressive AI's. Whoops, my mistake. Either way, it's still an idea.

For those of you who are curious this game is based off of Arabic Invasion and Dar01: The Sun Never Sets. Both can also be found in my sig.

I didn't join Arabic Invasion until late in the game, but it was still a blast.

howdie folks,
looks like lots of new recruits to the academy (you'll know soon enough)
BotlGnomz, Loki III, you're in (first grabs)

Caltorp and liquidated, sorry, but it will become too slow with too many players.
BUT, stick around for some guest-replacement turn sets if you'd like too.

the EARTH map seems like a great idea, as do continents.
i will pick one or the other (probably some sort of continents)

IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER SPECS (like water level, climate, etc) please, do tell.

Loki and Bottle, just in case you DONT know....
here are a few ground SG rules

its 24 hours to confirm that you have GOT IT and another 24-48 hrs to play your turnset.

each turnset is TEN TURNS.

try not to do some major stuff on the last turn (like declaring war, etc) unless you consulted the team (curtesy reasons)

try not to do over exploitive stuff (common sense, basically)

ENJOY YOUR SELVES!!!!

and most important - if we EVER offend you in any way - WE DID NOT mean to.
we (meaning, I) can sometimes be misunderstood (apprentice idiot and all that....)

The roster looks good to me. I'll go ahead and inform you that from 12/4 until 12/11 my wife and I will be on vacation in the Carribbean, so skip me during that time. The way the roster looks I should be okay.
