Hey all...

After a fair amount of work, and feedback from several of you (special thanks to Pounder and Moxx!), I think this is pretty "complete"...

To use, extract the file into your {"My Games" path}\Custom Assets\Screens folder.

If you want more detailed installation instructions, or are just curious, you can check out the "development thread" in my sig...

Thanks for looking! :)

Hey Fallblau, I'm just curious... do you know if it's possible to have a number representing the players rank in terms of score when the game is completed? As you know it's possible to win a Space Race Victory and not be the leader in overall score.

For example, going with the very top line on the screenshot, you win the Space Race with Mongolia, yet you were 3rd in points with 5725. Would there be a way to put a "3" or "3rd" in front of the actual score, so it reads something "3rd - 5725"?

I realize it's such a minor thing, but I'm just curious if you know if it can be done without too much effort. :)

Cool :-). Number of turns, total population and number of cities/workers/other units would be nice stats too.

Great job Fallblau. Like the others, however, I wonder how many juicy stats you can put into this screen.... :D

Thanks, guys... Yeah, there's probably lots more stuff that could be done... Frankly, I'm surprised Firaxis hasn't done more with it. I'll take a look at all suggestions in (hopefully) the near future.

Low - That is probably pretty doable (ranking), I'll have to look into it. In fact, in my first iteration, I was parsing out the scores until it became apparent (duh!, on reflection :) ) that you could win and not have the high score, as goofy as that is...

For people like me who might need it spelled out perfectly. Here's where I found the exact path:

C:\Documents and Settings\administrator\My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization 4\CustomAssets\python\screens

And yes, I did have to look a while for it!

No need to be sorry. I knew I'd eventually grind it out! It's nice to be able to see my few wins and numerous losses now. ;)

Hi all...

OK, I have refitted my fix to the new patch 1.52 object... Here it is...

Also, since Firaxis "did a boo-boo" in adding the new Marathon game speed to the front of the list rather than the back (found by Grumbler), in order to re-synch your game speeds, you will also need to add this file to your CustomAssets/xml/gameinfo folder.... HOWEVER, doing so will cause any current saved games to misregister their speed/current turn in game, so I would not suggest replacing the file mid-game. And there is still some possibility that games since the 1.52 patch but before replacing this file may misstate their speed in the HoF screen, so choose wisely... :)

Note that this xml fix repairs both my custom AND the seeded Hall of Fame screens....

I think that this statement isn't clear enough
I used this file, but it affected my savegames.
I was playing a Marathon game, and after installing this file, I find myself in the future  I was in 1434, and suddenly I'm in 2108!
I think that the number of game turns is the correct one, but it has a different "meaning" according to the speed, that the use of this file has changed. Removing the file has obviously restored the previous date.

So, maybe  , you may have to explain a bit better why we need to use this file, and what exactly it is supposed to do. Thanks :)

Ooops... There's the explanation... :)

I admit, I only checked to see what the effects on the HoF screen would be... I would suggest you remove the .xml file until your current game ends, at least... Then you could try putting it back, and see if that game is mis-indexed... I have the sneaking suspicion that at that point, all of your old games will be correct, but the new one will be off... So I'm going to edit the above posting to reflect that the file may mess up existing games...
