The Mission of the European Economic Community
La Mission de la Communauté Economique européenne

The European Economic Community was founded in 1835 to promote the idea of peace through trade and financial prosperity. In an effort to foster this peace, the E.E.C seeks to establish free trade between its members so that commerce can grow. The E.E.C also seeks to act as a diplomatic body, reflecting the interests of the European people as a whole, to ensure that our needs are listened to and that Europe is respected on the world stage. Only through trade and mutual support shall the nations of Europe learn to stay together, and only through our unity shall Europe grow and communicate with the rest of the world.

PENDING RESOLUTIONS OF THE PAN-EUROPEAN CONGRESS:

- Resolution No.#4 A true European Free Trade zone is established, and tariffs are to be set, for all European goods flowing within Europe, to no higher than 1% of the total price of goods. - Resolution No.#5: A true European currency is to be established, pegged against the former British pound, the strongest European currency. The currency will be simply known as the Euro. A European central bank is to be created in Copenhagen for the management of the Euro. Board representatives are to be chosen by the PEC, one coming from each nation of the EEC. The European central bank will be given the authority to manage the Euro throughout all of the EEC.

THE PAN-EUROPEAN CONGRESS

You beat me to it, Panda! Ah well, now you'll have to edit it as we go... ;)

-All European nations whose capital are located in the region west of the Urals and north of the Caucasus and the African/Anatolian coasts are able to join the Pan-European Congress

I suggest that this is rephrased to say that they are OBLIGED to join it; not that I see any reason for them not to. Btw, maybe we should just edit out the bit about capitals and so forth? As all European territory, temporary occupation regions aside, is located within nations that are recognized to be European, we might just say that those nations are European...

EDIT: Resolution format spoiler doesn't open for me.

Resolution No.#1: We suggest that a cease fire in Italy is established, and that democratic elections are held to determine the new government that should take over both Italy and Sicily.

Resolution No.#2: We suggest that the Teutonic Order is partitioned like in this map:
http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads10/proposaljnes.GIF

(note that this map is not yet final; if there are any complaints or suggestions, we will take them into account as well. The idea is to keep the German state viable, but at the same time unable to exploit its position for further aggression; it is also supposed to aggrandize, to some extent, the territorial pretensions of all the nations that participated in the war against Teutonism)

And that in the German region, referendums are held to determine the nature of the new government (absolute/parliamentary monarchy, national-socialism or democracy).

Through European itermeditaries at an undisclosed European embassy the following note has been dropped off.

' The Imperial Republic of Egypt would like to remind the members of the European Congress that whilst we do not condemn this meeting, we actually encourage this as a meeting for the peaceful resolution of European crisis amongst European nation for the future, the following items are parts of a signed treaty by Britian and is still the proposed treaty on the table with France and Denmark in regards to their failed war against the African continent.

The Italian- Siclian War is to be left alone. If the sides of the war wish for a ceasefire then they shall have one. However neither NSP nor ACE nations will interfere in this matter.

The German nation proposed is unacceptable as all Danish and French occupation zones are to be handed to the new Germany. Denmark and France are to gain NOTHING from the territory of the former TO.

If both these items are not agreed to, there WILL BE NO PEACE between ACE and the Danish and French governments.

At the same time the Egyptian nation congratulates the British government for their forsight and committment to a fair and equitable peace agreement in signing the current offer.

Unless the rest of Europe wishes to see futher economic collapse and futher destruction brought to the nations of France and Denmark, they will urge the French and Danish government to accept the proposed peace as it stands.'

Denmark and France are to gain NOTHING from the territory of the former TO.

We are willing to withdraw our claims if a referendum in former Teutonic territory west of Elbe is held on this issue, and that, no matter who gains it, it is to be demilitarized.

However, we do believe that Denmark deserves to keep its gains. It is vital for the stability of the region and the security of Denmark.

Furthermore, we suggest that in that case, an independant state in Illyria is created as well.

Sicily votes no on Resolution 1, and abstains from Resolution 2.

Furthermore, Sicily warns that it will withdraw from the EEC should any action be taken against its rightful claim to Italy. There will be democratic elections once the British-backed corrupt leadership is ousted by Sicilian forces.

ooc: is Scandinavia in or not?

Greece would like membership into the EEC.

We also feel the need to voice an opinion.

We feel that German lands shouldn't be occupied at all. We would even be willing to give a pecie of Illyria back to Germany. We want a Germany that has all of it's old territory back from France and Denmark.

We also agree with Resoultion #1.

We don't agree with the territoral aspect of Resoloution #2. We also think that Germany shouldn't have a choice of a non-Democractic government. The only government to rule Germany should be a Democractic one.

Denmark agrees with resolution #1 to restore peace to the Italian lands. We also agree to Resolution #2. We are willing to return Berlin to the Germanic people who live in it.

However, we do call for a zonal referendum in the lands that are to be independent so the citizens there can vote for complete independence, independence and union with other Germanic states or annexation into one of the neighbouring realms with all the benefits inherit in this.

ooc: is Scandinavia in or not?

It is.
There will be democratic elections once the British-backed corrupt leadership is ousted by Sicilian forces.

After Italy is soiled in blood, that is. Why can't you try to negotiate?

We also think that Germany shouldn't have a choice of a non-Democractic government.

Why that?

Sicily is free to do as it wishes. If it withdraws from the EEC, it will be her loss, and not the loss of the EEC. Infact, perhaps we can expediate the process some?

Until Sicily can recognize that she is isolated diplomaticaly, and that her government has no more order over the now free Italian people, Britain will not attempt to act kind.

We may be neutral in your conflict, but we are not ignorant.

Egypt through its intermedaries in the Spainish embassy would like to remind the EEC that Sicily was the orignal government of independent Italy and was a democratic government until the British occupation. This is thus considered to be a Italian Civil War and thus we ask that no nation becomes militarily involved.

We are confident in the fact that if Sicily and Italy were to reconcile that the two governments could be formed into one under a democratic leadership that we would all as nations of freedom and liberty benfit from. Only those nations that do not permit democratic rights nor allow for liberty would lose.

Well, Spain IS in ACE AND in PEC. Which doesn't explain why can't the Egyptians just ask to send in a representative - leaving notes in other people's embassies at an undetermined location is a weird way of conducting diplomacy.

Egypt in that case would like to apply for observer status. As a token of goodwill we would like to invite a member of the EEC to become observer in ACE. We remind the EEC that this status holds no votes and may only comment on diplomacy conducted in the other body, while reporting such diplomacy to its own body.

das said:
Why that?

Because a government in which the people choose, is a superior one. Of course this is a opinion (and has some examples: Egypt the most powerful nation in the World - is a Democracy.)

Also we would like to have the observer status in ACE.

Resolution No. 3 : As a model of the ACE proposal , we would like to form a fund in which any economies below failing (recession depression) in which they could get funds from. Every member of the EEC would need to send a minium of 1 level every 8 years. The first pledge would be 2 years after the war between NSP and ACE is over. If a nation is in a defensive war , or is the one needing the funds , they can ask for a pardon , in which they would get a maxinium of 4 years to pay their late level.
