[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif][SIZE=-1] Around 14 centuries ago, the nomadic Anasazi people chose to settle down and build permanent homes near their planted crops. As the tribe prospered, members migrated outward to build "cliff dwellings" in a variety of locations — Mesa Verde chief among them. From this network of cities, Anasazi culture flourished for hundreds of years. Then, approximately 400 to 500 years ago, the Anasazi vanished suddenly and mysteriously.

This is another wonder I had in mind for Sword of Geddon's mod. Maybe He or Someone else might find it useful.

ah no, but seriously, during holidays im usualy up till 3-4...
its good to see someone who knows the truth behind our awful language we call Gaelge.. eugh... (i only have it in my location to annoy/confuse forigners ;) )

Well, you confused this one, thats for sure :)
Its late, I`m off to bed, I`ve been sleepy for the last 2 hours, as you can see if you check my recent posts, one 6 months bump, one wrong thread, one wanting to kill TexasJim.... Good night, fellow fanatics!

heh, well it means: Boyle, my town (Mainistir na Buile is the irish name), Roscommon, my county (ros commáin)
and Connaught (pronounced: Conn-act)is the province im in, in the west, one of the 4 provinces or ireland. but now everyone probably thinks Connaught is a planet from Star Wars or something

nice, but just as with the Axum Obelisk:
What use in game? I dont' really see anything to be used fort besides a specific scenario

Again, this was created along with the others I've done recently to help Sword of Geddon, who was stuck in his mod. Also, a lot of people have complained in the past about the lack of african and north american(non mexican) wonders.
Nate - If you check the Axum thread, I did actually answer you and suggest some possible effects for it. Haven't a clue about this one, though. Maybe something related to city growth as it is obviously much bigger than most settlements north of Mexico at the time.

It think that, to most people from Dublin, it might as well be!! :p
Only joking! Wht do us Jackeens know, anyway.
Thanks for the kind comments, guys.

I AM NOT A BOGGER. i hate 'em, darn culchies, ruining our towns with tractors and silage... grumble grumble...

i hate bein' stuck behind a "lovely oul massey" on the sligo bypass.... grrrr..
and its the connaught emblem, the coat of arms. it does look pretty cool. its better then the roscommon one,
(a shamrock, a cross, a crown, and a SHEEP!)

Thanks for asking, TLC. Progress is slow. I ran into some prob.s and time is also a factor. I'm hoping to spend more time on it next week.
I keep constant tabs on your thread. I'm trying out RFRE like yourself right now so no time to play Maya but again, maybe next week.

Wow thankyou for yet another great wonder Tria!

Did you know that the Anasazi actually had a trade route to the Aztec capital? They recently discovered evidence of extensive trade between the two civilizations(which was what they both were)...very interesting..

I'm glad I've had the privaledge of meeting you here on these boards.

Hmmm ... my understanding was that the Anasazi were in decline when they constructed the cliff dwellings, either due to a drought or warfare (or maybe both).

Also, I have heard that the Hopi claim ancestry from the Anasazi and claim that the Anasazi didn't disappear but simply migrated out of the region.

These would also be cool as single-era city graphics.... (hint, hint!) ;)
