Pulling the plug

Guys,

Since some players are taking the 24-hour turn timer down to the final 3 hours on nearly every turn, I'm pulling the plug on this game. At this rate, it would take a couple months to finish. Here it is the weekend, and we've only managed to complete two turns.

The new game will feature a 12-hour timer and will be comprised of people who are +/- a few hours from GMT-7. This will allow the players to meet up at certain times to play for 2-hour stints or so, as well as when they have the opportunity. Check this forum for a post about the new game.

I'm coming to the conclusion that my next game will be an invite only for players that I know (from previous game experience) are prepared to play the turn when it is ready. Real pain having players wait on a turn that may take all of a few minutes.

Well, some of us have jobs. We didn't really even try to have gatherings.

I'm always playing around GMT -7, just had a particularly tough weekend and connection problems, otherwise I could have completed the turns right away.

O' well. I think I'll start a game for us Euros later.
