Greetings, folks!

I'm looking to start a PB game for players who are in the GMT-8 to GMT-5 time zones. This will allow us to meet for 1-2 hour sessions, 2-3 times per week, as well as playing turns as we're able. The game will have the following specs:

Human Players: 4 min./6 max.
AI Players: 2 max./0 min.
Map: Terra
Size: Standard
Climate: Temperate
Sea Level: Medium
Era: Ancient
Speed: Quick
Turn Timer: 12 hours
Simultaneous Turns: On
Take Over AI: On
No Technology Trading: On
No Cheating: On

Also, all civs will be set to random. Each player accepted into the game will be assigned a player # in the order they are accepted. This # will correspond to the civ order generated by PB, which will determine the civ you've drawn.

I'll be using scree's e-mail notification program so you'll be notified when a new turn's been generated.

You'll need to be available for 1-2 hours, 2-3 times a week in the evening so we can play with all players online.

If you're intersted, please send me a PM with the following details:

In-Game Name
City, State, and/or Country
Time Zone (in GMT format; GMT-8 to GMT-5 only allowed)
E-mail address (for turn notification)

I'll let you know via PM whether or not you're accepted into the game. Once I have the required number of players, I'll reply to each of you via PM with the IP address and password for the game.

Looking forward to a fun game!

So far, the following players have been accepted:

Player 0 = Vindicator (Mysterio10000), GMT-7 (Whoops! Forgot to add myself to the player list!)
Player 1 = HitAnyKey, GMT-5
Player 2 = Brutalus, GMT-5
Player 3 = shirt10, GMT-5
Player 4 = Ehtwal, GMT-5
Player 5 = Corossol, GMT-5

Guess it's time I start reading up on how to play a PitBoss game before we get this one started. :)

Think of it as a game that's accessible 24/7 with a 12-hour turn timer and simul. turns. When all players have ended their turn, the next turn begins and the turn timer resets. You can log into the game at any time, as many times as you want.

I understand the concept and how it all works in that respect. I just need to check into if I need to download any extra updates and/or how to connect to the games. But I'll have that all figured out by the time we start.

Just need to be running 1.52.

I'll provide you with the IP address and password once all spots have been taken. Just choose MULTIPLAYER -> DIRECT IP CONNECTION, input the network address and password I provide you, pick the civ you're assigned, specify a password for your civ, and you're good to go!

After you've moved all your units and set all your queues, click the End Turn button, then exit to main menu or desktop via the menu. You'll receive an e-mail when the next turn starts (after everyone's clicked the End Turn button).

Rinse and repeat. :)

Mysterio - their is a question on whether multiple players on the internet and the host within his own network can connect to the game at the same time. Would be interested if you have no problems with this or not. See the pitboss beta thread for more info (page 9).

I've already replied in that thread pointing out that I've been in my PB game with at least two other players and have never received any complaints about being unable to join. I wish I knew why you all are having problems.

I've only perceived problems at the initial game stage - not sure if we've had 2 internet people + me in the game since the start.

Interesting scheme. You let me know if it works well, Mysterio, and I'll try to open up a similar game for Europeans. No wait, my computer's not always on... any volunteers?

Hi! I'd like to join this one (I was in your other game, the one that got canceled). Details by PM.

With 1 hour and 52 minutes remaining on the turn timer, BrutalusMaximus is quickly running out of time. Will he take his turn before the timer runs out, or will he put himself in a hole on the very first turn?

Edit: How sad...BrutalusMaximus missed his first turn. :(

I snooze I lose!

I always settle in place in games and on this I moved my settler by mistakeso I am even farther behind! On the plus side where I moved is a better start.

Lets start thinking about setting up a session. These first few turns are so short that sessions now to get the game moving are the best.

I can do one tomorrow anytime from 2:30pm EST-5pm EST and again from 7pmEST -11pm EST

Those time slots work for me!

For me it's not even a matter of preference. I work until 5:30 (though can access the boards here, obviously) so don't even get home until around 6ish.

I should be able to do tomorrow night with no problem.
