Anybody with a 50% approval will join the Designated Player Pool:
Blkbird
Chieftess
Daveshack
Tubby Rower
CivGeneral
this poll is multiple choice

Online sessions for me thank you. And I have trillian now so it'll be a cinch for me to be online and copy and paste. wooooT

Online. The chatroom is a good place to log your events and for others to comment on (which is good when there's no instructions for something, and you want to gauge public opinion in all areas. It probably won't happen much since this game is new -- meaning, it's the first Civ4 demogame.).

I assume order will be descending by the most votes?

I am only going to run an online session if enough people show up for the turnchat.

I believe so, with the first acceptance of the position in the nomination thread used as the tie breaker.

Hmm, 3rd place so far -- and just where I want to be. :D The later turns are less boring than the early ones.

Surprising that Blkbird isn't getting more votes. If the relative percentages stayed the same, this would be the first time in 8 terms of having a DP pool that someone has missed the required 50%.

All Candidates: Do you intend to run on-line or off-line sessions?

So far I've played one Session offline in term 1. I would probably play the first Session in term 2 offline as well and switch to online with the second Session.

BTW, do note that you can vote for more than 1 canidate, as this is a multiple choice poll...

i think that is because he ran an offline session in term 1...at least that's why i didn't vote for him.

Ask yourself this question - did he provide more or less information that those that played online?

I did vote for him, and it would be a travesty not to see him as DP again. THAT would be a waste of his talent.

I get the feeling that political groups are influencing the vote too much in this one. (i.e., "Vote for 1 or 2 people only).

This is what I am afraid is going to happen.

Anyway, in overview if I am going to hold an online session. I have gave it a bit of thought and decided to consider on holding an online session regardless of attendence. I will try to scedual a session that would be convenient for both myself and the people who wish to attend :)

You have one person that may have alienated some with his forthright manner, and you have another that has perplexingly bounced back and forth four times between which position to run for, each time after someone experienced entered the race against him.

The people as a whole are pretty savvy, so I don't think political parties have anything to do with this. We can get by with 3 DPs if necessary.

Thats what i was thinkin, the political parties may have an effect but it wouldnt be as large as what it is.

It is a shame that the one candidate with enough guts to run an off line session isn't getting votes. You chat mongers should be ashamed of yourselves. When will we ever have a demogame the rest of us can play?

While that may have been a factor, I don't think it was the biggest one. If the ability to attend a chat were such a major factor, the people who know most of my chats are late night mountain / pacific time (GMT-7) would withold their votes.
