Slavery Civic Poll

This is the poll that will decide whether or not our nation adopts the slavery civic.

The choices are

Yes(Should adopt)
No(Shouldn't adopt)
Abstain(Abstain)

If we do adopt, a second intiative poll will be held to detirmine uses of the civic.

And that is the best reason to vote no.

This poll, as presented here, gives NO protection to our citizens. Governors will be able to, at their whim, to waste the lives of our citizens in projects that are not abosutely critical.

That is reprehensible! Our citizens know the risks in our world, and are willing to make sacrifices when needed, but these protections ARE NOT PRESENT.

I urge all citizens to vote NO on this pathetic poll that strips us of rational choices.

Yes, and I rejected that concept.

Given the options presented, I can only choose not to switch. This should have been an option in this pool - it's poorly done.

But if it's done with two or three choices for slavery, and only one against, it would also be done unfairly.

I stand by my decision to make it two spereate polls, and hope that that doesn't turn you away. I felt there was no other viable way. Yu would have to add both together, then ask if people wanted change there votes, the procees is streamlinedc this way and allows for maximum effeciency.

I apologize if you don't approve of the format, bu this is how it is. I would hope that you don't vote no because you don't like the poll rather than you don't like the civic.

I personally support SLavery with an emergenc whipping clause.

I'm glad you stand by it, but your choice forces mine. I cannot vote for this civic without knowing that my choice would includes the conditions I have stated.

You would not provide that.

Therefore, I will aggressively campaign against this proposal.

Power to the people! Defeat those that would seek to enslave needlessly!

Perhaps the supporters of this would like to be whipped? Under this authorization governors can put anyone into slavery, this is an outrage!

Irrespective of people's positions in this argument, it's rather sad that only 18 citizens have seen fit to vote so far. Come on people. Surely voter apathy hasn't set in already!

In a regular game, it would be worth it, because of the free 1 gold you recieve from civic upkeep, and the whip, which can be used occassionally. But it seems in a demogame, the privilage may be abused. Can we trust our governers to manage it well? I think so. I advise we say yea.

This Poll is Validated,and during the next turn chat we shall change. Now we should decide the wording for the iniative that will decide how we use it. I'm thinking the following:

When can/should we use the whip:

At the Governers Discretion
In emergency cicumstances, requiring a vote of the citiziens assembly
Never
Abstain.
