I thought it would be cool if there were a military advisor warninging us of our enemies military situation, without having to see the Power historic. I mean that's not particularly a pain to just click there and there, but it would just be cool and add some dynamism to the game. Examples: if the graphic of an civ is growing suddenly, a voice could say "the x civ are arming themselves". Or if this civ military is growing higher than our, "the x civ becomes threatening my lord". It would be dynamic, cool and prevent us to fall in a long term "trap".

I'm just playing a game and I think it would be a neet feature don't you think?

"warning your neighbour may be fomenting something"

Would add some intelligence into the game instead of just arming oneself with no reason or just because we LOST the previous game(s). Plus the game would be more friendly. (i think it is a pain for casual gamers to start over and over, I think being able to play a streamlined game without starting the whole bunch over would be great for them, even for me) What do you think of that Firaxis?

That's a really good IDEA. It reminds me of the advisors you have on Simcity4
I mean its helps and its make the game more dinamic having not only military advisors but general advisors as well. Letting you know what goings on inside the civ. I think Firaxis would have to take notice on this. ;)

Excellent idea - was thinking along the same lines myself. A Military Advisor screen that would keep track, civ by civ, of the type of military units visible or encountered. For instance, the types of units garrisoned in neighboring civ cities along borders, the types of naval vessels encountered at sea, etc.

How helpful that would be to have one place to go to monitor when neighboring civs start to train gunpowder units, for example, or what types of naval vessels your Caravel has encountered during exploration. The same information you could keep track of manually, clicking city by city or following all your naval units at sea, move by move.

Darth Vader fan?

nvm... the My Lord referral seemed a bit out of place with Civ. I was expecting King or President. Darth Vader was always referred to as My Lord. No big deal. It's a cool idea
