After looking at the list of civs not played, I only find Louis XIV having useful traits. Our civ is France.
4000 BC
Paris is formed. Since we have *no* seafood, I have to go with a worker first. Since we already know how to farm, I am going to make a run at Hinduism. We want Mysticism anyway, to run at Stonehenge.
3720 BC
(IT) Next up in research is Hinduism.
3560 BC
(IT) The worker completes, and Paris can finally begin to grow.
We now start work on Stonehenge. An OCC is very much about wonders and GPPs.
3240 BC
(IT) We are now Hindus. Next up is mining to get the gold hill up to speed.
2920 BC
(IT) I start research on fishing next, as we need to make contact with the rest of the world.
2680 BC
(IT) The next tech is masonry. The Pyramids would be really nice. Getting 3 quick happy faces from representation would be really nice.
2640 BC
(IT) We complete our first wonder of Stonehenge.
Next up is a workboat to try and make contact with the world.
2520 BC
(IT) I hit one of those times where no tech feels like it has a clear advantage.
I finally go with priesthood for the option of the Oracle, and to open up writing. The Great Library is a killer wonder for us.
2480 BC
(IT) We have already hit the health limit.
2280 BC
(IT) We can't afford to chop any trees due to health reasons, but I still go for bronze working. It would be nice to know if we have copper. In addition, we need to eventually clear the jungle to get gems on-line, and this heads that way. If one of the two visible hills has copper, that will really help with production.
1960 BC
(IT) Slavery is a total waste for us, so I pass on a revolution for it.
Organized religion for a 25% shield boast would be nice, so I start on monotheism.
==========================
Summary:
We can afford to grow to size 7. At the point we can configure our tiles for no growth.
The Pyramids are due in 7 turns. 3 happy faces, and the research bonus is huge if we get the Great Library.
We should get an exploring workboat or two after the Pyramids.
I agree the super specialists are key to an OCC. I see the following people needed:
1 prophet for our shrine - even if we found more religions, we aren't interested in more shrines.
All engineers are for wonders.
1 scientist is for a critical academy.
IMHO all others should be merged. We need every possible dollar, shield and research point possible in the capitol.
IMHO we really want bureaucracy.
At some point we need more then a single warrior for defense.
Signed up:
LKendter (skip Feb 17 to Feb 21)
Methos (currently playing)
Ucel (on deck)
Jabah
Maquis
Remember 20 turns per round. STRICT 24 hours got it, total 48 hours to complete.
With this being an OCC, 10 turns seems like just to little.
Win target: Just win baby
