Water Barbarians ?

It would be fun if there is Water barbarians, like Pirates, or something bad in the seas :)
 
I can't think of any "water barbarians" in history, though of course there were pirates who operated covertly or out of "free" ports and did most of their military activity on the sea.

Okay. So how about any barbarian city on the coast has a chance to generate barbarian ships? Be great fun on Terra maps...

In current version, there is barbarian ships generated by coast barbarian cities ? lol

Ok, but the fun could be if the water barbarians are created in the fog war (like most of barbarian land units), independently of the existence of cities on a coast.
 
What about sharks? They could attack your smaller ships like work boats and galleys maybe carvaels? I think that would be awesome even if it is an animal it would be annoying. They also don't disapear because usually there is always fog of war on the ocean so they can spawn.

I've bumped into Barbarian galleys in the middle of nowhere before. I'm fairly sure that they didn't come from any coastal barbarian cities. I encountered one near a mid sea island that had no barbarian city or coastal connection to other areas.
 
There are barbarian ships, but they are not as frequent as land units. If you want to see more of them, just increase the frequency (of just the galley). I will be the viking invation all over again!
 
sharks are a good idea, but they aren't enough powerful to destroy boats ..

Whales would be better. (Who has said Moby Dick ?! xD)

Why wouldn't sharks be powerful enough look at Jaws.:aargh:
 
Yeah but Jaws was a movie not a real shark
