As promised, I have started on my Emperor game. This level should be more of a jump in difficulty compared to the Monarch game. Since the image limit is now 12, it will allow for more flexibility for my story.
Here are the first two games, you can look at them to figure out my play style.

I have decided to play on an archipelago on a standard size map. That way, I doubt I will win before the AI gets into the Industrial Age.
This time I have put Cultural Conversions on, since I now know what it is. But other than that and the difficulty level, everything else is the same.
This starting position doesn't look too bad, it is a flood plain with a wheat food bonus.
After I built my first city, I have realized that I will soon have a luxury in my borders, which is a big help in the early game.
Building a good road network in this game is very important.
First settler comes out at 3200 B.C., I expect that is how fast the AI is going with its expansion.
I get this list, I see that the Mayans have come back to cause trouble. The Germans and the Portuguese have come back from the last game. I haven't played a game with the Hittites and the Americans.
Over the next nine turns, I built two new cities, found a volcano, and found more useless land to the east.
That doesn't mean much, but I did find horses south of my capital.
By 1950 B.C. I have five cities, and I am doing very well. I still have not found anyone yet, so I think I may be on an island.
But if I am on an island, there is hope, more land has been found.
Well, I guess I am on an island, but I am getting Alphabet in one turn. With Curraghs, hopefully I can find someone else.
Here is the first game save, I guess you could see how you could do on this start.

Next time - Will I find anyone else, or will I be alone for a good part of the game?
