Our great capital is currently squirting big men with axes out. Post any sketches watercolor, etc, of things you see around town.

Also if you have anything that you would suggest being built in our great city, the suggestion box is always open.

Current buildings:
Palace to honor our great leader
barracks to train our citizens into fighting machines

Tubby....
As SoW, I thank you for the big hairy guys with axes. I may need you to make some other units in the future, but right now axes are suitable. Your axes are by far the best trained in our nation. But they are really happy to leave BW which is not suprising since your citizens are in general an unhappy bunch right now.

You might need that whip soon if this keeps up.:mischief:

well if I whip the poor sods, we'll only have 4 groups of citizens that will be able to work. I'm generally against the whipping aspect unless the war department can't handle the foreigners. ;)

I'm thinking that we will begin construction soon of the Boaring Wallow Public Library. All are invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony where a wide assortment of pig paraphernalia will be supplied by the Boaring Wallow Walling Pastures Inc.

You wont need that whip.( I was joking)

A library sounds good.

Governor...Will you release the Ax you are making to my control or do you desire another garrsion force?

yes, but I do request that the east is patrolled regularly to avoid any unwanted neighbors.

There will be an ax to your West and another between BW (closer to BW) and Abydos...is that good enough?

I honestly am not concerned. Just didn't want an axeman to come out of the fog with me stuck with just a warrior for defense. In that case I might have to imploy the dreaded whip.

:cringe::whipped:

Governor... I am a bit concerned for your cities safety. In the near future please consider building a pair of archers to garrison in your lovely city.

Has there been any reports of barbarians in the area? I'll be looking at the save tonight. I believe that the library should be complete, And I was planning on creating another settler. To get the skurvy out of the city.

No reports..just dont like a single warrior protecting our capital. No hurry on this either due to the amount of axes in the area. Any time after the settler once (if) you resume building units.

We have to be more careful!
I've just noticed that BoW is still working on the forested plains tile even if the grassland hill (1 tile S of BoW) has a mine for more than 10 turns (it's obvious that it was done already couple of turns before the previous save on 420BC) ... which means we could have finished the library at least one turn earlier!
Well, nothing to do with this now, just remind all to have well opend eyes to not miss things like this!

Sorry.... That grass hill was mined without my knowledge.... but ignorance is no excuse.

I'll clean the pig sties this week.

Dear Governor,

In the thread about the placement of our next city ( http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=162888 )I discussed the possibility of another civilisation making life difficult for us by settling in an awkward spot if we went for gems to improve our happiness. I suggested we could avoid the problem by chop rushing or whipping another settler.

Unfortunately, I haven't done a proper analysis yet, but would you be willing to consider this? I am cross-posting this to all the city governors so we need to take the wider view before anyone decides anything.

I need to start developing my city for my constiuents. I have produced 3 settlers to go and start other cities. I have posted in the other thread that the Alpha site should be settled 1st and then we could settle by a coast if the preferred Beta site is taken or otherwise out of commission.

I'm unsure if this is the correct place for this, so please inform me if I am.

Since the settler is complete in BW and we have one angry citizen I suggest we move the citizen out of the pig farm and onto the mined grass hill. This will shave off one turn and not let us grow and gain more angry citizens.

It appears this was mentioned earlier previous to the last turnset, but did not get corrected. Granted, the last turn set was rather short. :D

Yup for settlers there is no growth and the pigs give 5 total to 4 at most for the other tiles.

I'm going ot look at it this mornining and post something later.

Thanks for the heads up
