We have completed Alphabet, so we must decide on our next technologies. I have proposed two plans as follows:
Plan 1 involves more the advanced techs of Iron Working (swords and iron locations) and Drama (theaters = culture and happiness, leads to philosophy).
1A: Pajka pointed out that civs won't trade a tech they learned that turn. Plan 1A is to research Drama for one turn and then if Germany is still not willing to trade, switch to Iron Working.
1B: I have a hunch that Germany is not willing to part with IW, not just because they researched it this turn. Plan 1B says we should start researching IW immediately, but if Germany is willing to trade it later, we can trade it then to finish early and continue onto Drama.
Notes: Since these two options are very similar, their votes will be counted together to be compared with other plans, and then if it wins, the sub-option with more votes will be the final result. If either 1A or 1B is chosen, I will instruct the DP to check the trade window every turn during the TC so we can get IW as soon as possible.
Plan 2, suggested by Chieftess, involves researching some early religious techs. I'd suggest Meditation first, as it is required for Philosophy (founds Taoism), followed by Polytheism, as it is required for Literature. This was not explicitly what Chieftess proposed, so if you have some other ideas please post them here.
Notes: Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaisim, and Confucianism have all been founded. The earliest religion we'd be able to found is Taoism, through Drama and Philosophy (a result of picking Plan 1). Plan 2 does not found any religions, it only allows us to build temples and monasteries for religions that we don't have.
Sorry for making my descriptions long, but I wanted to make sure the people knew what they were voting for. As always, if you have any questions please post them here and I'll try to respond quickly.
This poll should be treated as a referendum.
Please note that this poll will close in 2 days from this posting.
