To resolve a deadlock on an issue, it was suggested to bring that issue to a poll. There are two parts to the question, this is the first poll.

Citizens, what time period would you prefer to require that confirmation polls be posted within?

Option 1 - 48 hours, meaning the confirmation poll must be posted within 48 hours of the post announcing the appointment.

Option 2 - 72 hours, meaning the confirmation poll must be posted within 72 hours of the post announcing the appointment

Other - You have another preference, please post it.

Abstain - You have no preference.

The option with the most votes at the conclusion of the poll will be used in the amendment. If Other wins, a discussion will commence on how to resolve the matter.

This poll is public, and will run for 48 hours.

I voted other. We should have four days.

For most offices it doesn't matter as much, because if time runs out to post a confirmation poll a citizen could post a recall/impeachment poll. This does matter though for justices since they cannot be impeached/recalled.

So with donsig's votes.... That's almost a third of a month for the poll to be posted and then the poll to run for 4 days!!!

See, as a potential Justice, i tend to agree with the LAW ont his one;)
