Anyone want to bet there will not be a new patch?

Take2 will not realise the patch that has been done a long time ago. They would only integrate the new fixes in Civ: Warlords to boost sales.

Even if im wrong Ill be to exited if the patch arrvies so I dont mind losing the bet, (bet as in honour)

but why do the not realise the patch? It supposedly has been done a long time ago... I still beliwe in my "take2 conspiracy theory"! :)

Still its good that someone confirmes that there actually will be a patch, but will it come before warlords?

Take the bet Drogear. Just get really good odds. Like 50-50. Bet a copy of the game "manual."

Patch will be out after tax day (the 15th). Or on May 2 (day after Commie Day). For sure.

OK Sulla, if you really have played the patch what number is it? And how many megabytes be it? And what is your SSN and your mother's maiden name? :D

The problem is that QA is testing the Oblivion patch right now... :p

Having played the patch already, I'll happily take that bet. How much money do you want to give me? ;)

(As for when it will actually be released... your guess is as good as mine at this point.)
The patched version of the patch, or the unpatched version? :mischief:

The game needs some improvements that could appear in the coming patch:
- Ability to raze cities;
- The message asking if you want to keep or to raze a conquered city should say when a city has a world wonder or if it is a holy city;
- Several balance changes as this thread says - not every suggestion, but there are a lot of good ideas there.

I would like to investigate the city before I decide to raze it. :(

Yes, it's very annoying to have to really examine the city closely for a wonder before conquering it. Some wonders like the pyramids and colossus are easy to spot.

I just gave up trying to examine the cities and save and reload. This gives me time for a break and I can do things like run the vacuum or refinish the window sills or feed the cat.

There seems to be lots of times where you cant investigate before reacting to a pop-up option, or at least it takes some tricks to get around the pop-up.

Need to be able to minimise the pop-ups in an obvious way.

@Sulla

How much are you allowed to say about it? Is the razing cities issue addressed?

btw I love your site!

He really has played it ... and that info isn't allowed to be disclosed. But yes, I will bet you there will be another patch out before Warlords. Firaxis has indicated that numerous times.

Unfortunately, Firaxis doesn't have much say in the matter, the patch is complete, they have done their part. Just waiting on Take2 QA...

If they had a WORKING patch, it would have been released by now.
I agree.. They *had* patch... it was the patch beta tester had tested for a while. But the patch was rejected by Take 2 after inspection. There is no reason why Take 2 don't release it until now if the patch was working and lived upto the given quality... Some says they are doing oblivion Q/A.. But the Oblivion is out for sale for a couple of weeks now... So this can not be reason for delay.
Firaxis must be doing another round of patch job. But it is harder to find time to do it because the announced expansion pack is takinging highest priority and taxing heaviest work load to developers.
