Have we checked the Trades lately??

I was just looking at Pajka's city site and saw that poor poor bar at the top that was stating the length of time that it would take for us to get to Philosophy. Then it hit me... We haven't checked for trades lately.

Can anyone check to see what trades are available? I'm at work now so I can't do it. But it would be nice to trade a bit since we can't research anything else at the moment.
 
Bismark: Has Priesthood (138) (but doesn't want to trade it away yet), he does not have writing (276)

Peter: Has Polytheism (231) and Sailing (231), he does not have Meditation (184), but we haven't got enough to actually trade for either.

Ghengis: Has Priesthood (138), Polytheism (231) and Sailing (231) which he will trade and Horseback Riding (577) which he won't, he does not have Drama (693). He will offer all 3 techs for Drama.

Remember we dont want horseback riding..kills off our UU which is better than horse archers right now..so no biggie on that one.

I like the trade to Ghengis...I doubt he is researching faster than us and we are a good ways into philosophy....maybe the SoS should be made aware of this.
 
That trade sounds interesting.
+) It would give us those badly needed lighthouses and galleys as well as temples which we'll need as soon as we found the religion. Polytheism opens the way towards literature.
-) It would give Mongolians the possibility to build theaters and increase cultural influence of their cities.
In fact it is probably better to wait till the war and ask then some of their techs for peace. It's possible that they'll start researching Drama and it will not be possible to trade it to them anymore ... but I would take that risk and wait as we won't use those tech right now as we're building up the army for war.
 
Agree that it sounds like a good trading with the mongolians. And I don't think he will try and research philosophy any time soon.
 
Who's the SoS this term?
 
I personally think that we ought to trade with the Mongols before we take that city from them
