Our finicial situtation is in dire need of some attention. We have 4 gold in our treasury, and were taking a lose of 1 gold a turn. Philsophy still has 44 turns left.

I recommend the following to atleast give us alittle income:

Create a scientist in both Boaring Wallow and Micalion's Gate.
Drop the slider down to 60% (gives us an income of 1 gold per turn).

This will allow us to complete philsophy faster (37 turns instead of 44) and give us alittle extra income.

Still, we need to start planning ahead. We've built to many cities to quickly, and we HAVE to slow down our expansion and build up our infrastructure. No more settlers for awhile.

You can visit the Presidents Office here.

At this point of a nation's expansion, it is always a walk along a knife's edge. On one side is failure due to lack of funding for research, and on the other side is failure due to not being able to secure the necessary resources for long-term viability. We took a big reach toward the gems in the east, knowing that an unhappy population will stunt our growth. Once we have a secure trade route to those gems, we can temporarily stop expansion.

The idea of using scientists to improve our research speed is a good one. Hopefully our governors are listening.

Yeah we've built alot of cities/settlers latley. Just a question; is there a limit to how many cities we can have, like the civ3 demogame?

Nope, there is no limit to how many cities can be built.

there was a limit in civ3, was about 300 or something like that :)

creating a scientist will decrease our military output to which all hammers are needed for the war... Scientists won't be created for a little while... sorry

If Mic's Gate is getting a chop I have no problem with a scientist being used for the city.

I have posted an instruction in the TC thread that if the 6th citizen is available to turn him into a scientist. We need production currently and the 6th citizen won't effect the production queue too much
