In this thread you may bid on land the government owns. Currently there are 20 plots available. I will release 10 now and the other 10 later. The prices listed here are the minimum you must pay to buy the land. This is a standard auction, whoever posts the highest amount wins the land. If two people post the same amount the first person to post wins the land. Once I see that a piece of land hasn't had a new bid in at least 48 hours, I shall sell the land. (the "I" means as a government official, not me as George)


*note-I used the great RNG to decide which were the first 10 offered.
 
I would like the plots of 4k and 6J

4k is 140
6j is 160
 
I would like to bid on 4m starting at 230 Gold

Quick question 4m is one loaf of bread meaning 5 food, correct? Does that mean when I purchase it, I get a benefit of 25 a turn (5 gold x 5 food = 25 gold) or do I just get 5 gold benefit for having food on it?

P.S. When will the other 10 be released?
 
They multiply so you get 25 gpt.

The other patches of land i think George was planning on releasing when we have more people.
 
If you look close, there's one loaf of bread plus one food. The land has 6 food x 3 =18 plus 5 (per plot)=23gpt. The other way to look at it is that we set the initial price at 10xgpt, so you would get your money back in 10 turns.

People are going to be getting lots of money and quickly. I want to wait until everyone has built up a cash supply and inflation is starting to effect the game. Then I'll release some more land and take some of the money out of the game helping inflation. According to the rules, we should have 20 plots available right now, but I was afraid that much land all at once will deflate land value. Land value is high in RL because you can't really create more, so I wanted to limit the amount of land around.
 
Future..it take about 10 tc for us to make up our money. George will have to open it before then( I hope).
 
Sorry about the delay. Because of the delay, you have until Tuesday morning (American Central Daylight Time-I'm not sure the exact time I'll be on) to put in your bids. Remember, the bids below are simply the minimum you must pay. However has the highest bid by Tuesday gets the land.

3L- 140 gold
5L- 390 gold
6K- 170 gold
6N- 140 gold
7M- 160 gold
8K- 110 gold
