Anyone who signs a lasting peace with us is not paying attention to the overall trend: We are rising to the top because we've been able to stay out of war...

...and because we have made the appropriate donations to the RNG ;)
 
That is nonsence. It just means that we have the most cities in the world. That could change greatly should someone attack us and take us by surprise. The power curve is just showing our successful city planning.

Key word there is "successful." That means we're doing something right that the other teams aren't.

I was thrilled when I saw that power curve. You're doing a remarkable job, Mr. President, and that is the proof. :thumbsup:

I really debated posting that because I was afraid it would lead to overconfidence, but I thought people who don't open the save might be interested in seeing it. While the power curve is not completely irrelevant, not all of the items measured by the curve are really indicative of success - we still have a lot of work to do to win the game.

If we are to be really watching you relative power is by looking at the Military screen because that is the best indicator yet of you we are travelling in our military which means that right now we are going fine. That is the area we should really be watching.

I think the university in Athens is worth about 20 bpt so with a few other things completing we should be looking at Banking in 5, Astronomy in 5, and Invention and Gunpowder in 4 each if those are our next projects.
