Type : As realistic as I feel like it history (Not 100% realistic, more like 60% and I'm sure a lot of the posistions of citys are wrong)

Dates and place: 1192 AD, Middle East (Mostly, anyway)

Map size and number of civs: Standard, 7 civs. (Used the map provided by Iuvavus.)

MP version: No idea, going to assume no.

Description: My second scenario. Basically, it's the Middle East, 1192 AD. You can play as the Arabians, Israelians (Fictional), Turks, Mali, Papal Forces, or the Chalukya. You will need Sevomod to play the scenario. NOTE: The Papal Forces are considered a "minor civ" and thus, everyone is at war with them and they cannot do diplomacy.

Basically, if you are a history buff, you will play this and then go insane and eat your chair in rage.

My spoon is too big!

hate to break it to you, but there were no Israelis at that time.
Maybe try with Crusader states.
Do you mind if I modify this at all?
I don't mind. As said, it's not the most realistic scenario in the world. (I dobut there were "United East African Tribes" either), but yeah, if you want to modify it, go ahead. Just give me a tiny bit of credit (Mrdie originally made this scenario...) if you're making a new topic.

Does anyone have any legit criticisms of the scenario? (Minus the blatant historical inaccuracy with having Israel in it)

Just looking at the map and your list of Civs (I haven't played this yet). Mali is much farther west -- not on this map. Change them, as jlocke suggested, to the Abyssinians or the Ethiopians (they'd be Christian).

The Arabs (you might want to call them the Caliphate -- just a suggestion) control much more of this map in 1192. They'd hold the Arabian peninsula, Iraq, Syria, and Egypt.

You should also add Byzantium, though they wouldn't hold much more than Asia Minor (Turkey).

I'm not previously familiar with the Chalukya, but from Wikipedia, it looks like they'd be too far east to be included on this map.

I'd also suggest the addition of the Mongols. In Iran/Persia, you should have the Khwarezmid Empire instead of what I assume to be the Turks (the red civ, right?) I'd start the Turks out in the Caucasus perhaps. IIRC, Persia's the only spot on this map that the Turks never held.

Thanks. One of the main thing I noticed is that the game quickly goes like this (Played as Israel):

1. Arabs expand
2. Arabs kill Papal Forces
3. Turkey declares war on the Chalukya or vice versa
4. Chalukya kill Turkey
5. Mali kill the "United East African Tribes"
6. Game is now a huge Chalukya Empire Vs. A huge Arab Empire

So..yeah...I'll look into your suggestions if I decide to make a redone version.

Maybe Persians instead of Indians?
Maybe Khazars?
Definately Byzantines.
Any you might want to call the Turks the Seljuks... just a suggestion
Why not place the Crusader forces in the Holy Land, where they were, in their crusader states of Jerusalem, Acre, etc.? (I'm assuming that the "Papal Forces" are in fact the Crusaders)
